NWA champ Adam Pearce finished up with Ring of Honor for the forseeable future at this past Saturday's Glory by Honor event where he regained the title from Brent Albright in Philadelphia, PA.

Pearce's departure was announced by manager Larry Sweeney on his voicemail hotline (215-781-2250) with Sweeney announcing he was "flexing his muscle" by pulling Pearce out of the company.

Pearce was aware he was finishing up over the weekend and said his goodbyes to the crew. I believe it was simply a cost-cutting issue as ROH simply had too many people being brought in regularly, but there was no heat and the door is open for Pearce to be used down the line.

Pearce will be a big part of the NWA's planned relaunch of their Wrestling Showcase series on The Dish Network's Colours channel in the fall.

Its a shame, these past couple of months Pearce has had some of his best work in his ROH career.

Well if he can come back at anytime its no biggy. He did provide me with one of the funniest lines towards a city. "This place is a toilet!" lol simple but effective

Thank god! If Pearce is the NWA World Champion and hes fully commited to NWA, than screw ROH. We dont need our champ on there show, making the belt look like a mid card title.

Lol, wut? Really? Because what I've been seeing is ROH trying to help the NWA title re-gain some of the luster its lost over the years. Besides, why would ROH want to highlight the NWA title over their own? Would you like to see the NWA highlight the ROH title over their own? Probably not.

I just dont like the idea in general. NWA will always be shit unless they settle down like i've mentioned 200000 times before. Them having the NWA title being defended on there show just sucked in general. I know ROH would never put the belt over there own. I dont know, its like having the ROH title being defended on TNA in a Mid-Card like fashion. To me, that writes shit all over it.

I was so bored by Repo Man, that's another real heel gone from ROH. I want to see if SNS adds another guy soon to replace him.

I didn't have a problem with it, they protected the champion just fine. The few matches in ROH were the only significant ones since the tournament for the new champ after it left TNA. I understand what you're saying, but having it in ROH is more helpful with the cult like fans, which could create some more buzz and excitement.

i wouldnt want the NWA title highlighted over the ROH world championship, Maybe if it was 1990, but not in 2008....

Adam Peirce created such heat from the crowd, but it's smart for the NWA Champion to quit ROH,.
