Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was indicted Thursday on two counts of first-degree murder related to the deaths of two men outside a Boston nightclub in 2012.
Hernandez is accused of murdering Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado on June 26, 2012. The two men were shot to death after an individual riding in an SUV with Rhode Island plates allegedly pulled up alongside their car and opened fire in Boston's South End.

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley laid out the specifics of the case during a Thursday news conference. Conley identified Hernandez as the alleged shooter in the crime.
"When the victims' car stopped at a red light on Sherman Avenue waiting to turn onto Herald Street, the SUV pulled up beside the victims' car on the right," Conley explained. "Aaron Hernandez then fired a .38 caliber revolver multiple times from the driver's side of his vehicle into the passenger side of the victims' vehicle."
Conley said a "chance encounter" between Hernandez and the victims triggered a series of events that ended with the fatal shootings. Conley said the victims had no known connections to gangs, guns or any crimes.

"This case was about two victims who were stalked, ambushed and senselessly murdered," Conley said.
Conley said police have recovered the murder weapon from an individual with ties to Hernandez. The SUV believed to be at the scene was found in the garage of a Hernandez family member.
Hernandez has been in jail since last June for his alleged role in the shooting death of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, whose body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez's North Attleborough, Mass., home on June 17, 2012. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the Lloyd case and is being held without bail.

Hernandez was in the news earlier this month after a Bristol County grand jury indicted him on charges related to the assault of a fellow inmate at the Bristol County House of Correction.

It most likely was Aaron Hernandez but the witness they have was ducking from shots left and right and sounded shaken as fuck when giving a statement so I'm not quite sure how this indictment will play out in the end being as their witness doesn't have a really aware account of the event itself.

Odin Lloyd, Abreu and Blahblah (can't recall name but the two dudes in the car he allegedly shot up), the 3rd person in the car or near the car was a witness was shot at but not hit and then some guy down south in Florida I think has a lawsuit against him or had one.

No surprise here....During the NFL strike Hernandez went to the same gym as me, which is down the street from Gillete Stadium. I worked in with him a few times when I was on something he wanted to use. He seemed like absolute jerk, but I never thought I was lifting with a soon to be murderer.

The "Blood" gang sign on his hand and then his association with Odin Lloyd pretty much confirmed that one for me; the other two in 2012 is not too much of a reach considering the time stamps of the segments leading up to the events. Yeah I suppose so haha :p Plus his little mishap in prison where I heard he beat the fuck out of someone is another sign.

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story...nandez-investigators-seek-help-tattoo-artists
The investigators on the Aaron Hernandez case are seeking the Tattoo Artists' help who were involved on specific tattoos that Aaron Hernandez inked on himself between February 2012 and June 2013.. Most likely they are trying to identify the history behind a few of his tattoos and checking on the artists to see if he provided information onto why he wanted the ink job done. The only tattoo I noticed off the back that seemed gang related was the red-text that spelt "Blood", I assume they're looking into that one to see if he got it after the shooting in 2012 allegedly occurred to try and draw a connection between him getting into the gang via violent act.

It says "blood sweat tears"

also none of the shit you've said ties him to the murders. you have shown exactly why this will be such a hard case to try though with the court of public opinion already convicting the guy

Something sketchy about a guy who destroys his home security system, cell phone and hires a house cleaning team on the day the body was discovered within a mile from his house.

And for the 2012 the witnesses state they saw a "silver or grey toyota SUV with Rhode Island plates" at the scene; which there happened to be a silver Toyota 4Runner parked in Hernandez' uncle's garage with Rhode Island plates.

Idk man there's plenty of evidence to keep the investigation going.

I agree there is a ton of (circumstantial) evidence and on the surface it is easy to point, say "thug" and "guilty". But that's not how it works and they have to prove it in court. My point was it will be hard as hell to find jurors for the trial because everyone knows about the case, and many (like in this thread) have already made up their mind that Hernandez is a murderer, be it true or not.

They found jurors for OJ and I think in comparison he was a little bit more high profile.. Honestly I think the best defense for Hernandez is.. 1) Admitting he has a "drug problem" .. regardless if it's a matter of he couldn't go a day without smoking a few blunts this is how you set up the rest of it.. 2) He didn't know what his accomplices were upto because of his drug problem; 3) There is no Murder weapon so how can they prove he pulled the trigger (insinuating he will point the finger right back at his associates) and 4) attack the credibility of those two witnesses (at least in the Odin Lloyd case) are sketchy so they're the perfect people to try and blame back. The Basic he said/she said game; being as Hernandez' record is most likely clean in comparison this will be a must bring up for the defense.

I'm going to say unless they locate the actual murder weapon it's pretty much going to be 50-50 either way IMO.
