So...I was thinking...isn't it about time the ladies
of the WWE finally had their own Royal Rumble?

Now I know the female roster may not be able to fill out a full 30 Woman Rumble...
but perhaps a few changes could be made to make it work.

~ The match opens with two ladies with a new entrant being sent out after 1 minute.
~ The final woman remaining gets a title shot at the championship on her brand
with the last woman eliminated for the opposite brand also getting a title shot...so
in a sense...there will be two winners..kind of.

Now looking at the current female roster for the entire company...I came up with this list.
Now both the Raw and Smackdown Champions will not compete...perhaps they could be
guest commentators for the event. I also understand there will be injuries between now
and then...but the list is meant to show that WWE do have the numbers for this event to
take place.

Raw:
~ Alicia Fox
~ Bayley
~ Charlotte
~ Dana Brooke
~ Nia Jax
~ Paige (Inactive; Neck Injury)
~ Sasha Banks
~ Summer Rae (Inactive; Neck Injury)
~ Lana

Smackdown:
~ Alexa Bliss
~ Becky Lynch
~ Carmella
~ Eva Marie (Inactive; Filming a Movie)
~ Naomi
~ Natalya
~ Nikki Bella
~ Maryse

NXT:
~ Aliyah
~ Asuka
~ Billie Kay
~ Daria Berenato
~ Ember Moon
~ Liv Morgan
~ Mandy Rose
~ Nikki Cross
~ Peyton Royce
~ Sara Lee

Random/Unassigned:
~ Carolyn Dunning
~ Emma
~ Eve
~ Macey Estrella
~ Mary Dobson
~ Rosa Mendes (Inactive; Maternity Leave)
~ Tamina (Inactive; Torn Ligaments)
~ Victoria Gonzalez

So...what do you guys (And possibly Gals) think?

Not against the idea of having the women's Rumble match, but I don't see it happening.

If it happened at the Royal Rumble PPV, then it'd probably get overshadowed by THE Royal Rumble later in the night.

I do like the idea though. If done right. There is a risk that it will look extremely gimmicky with certain divas that aren't wrestlers being a part of it, but if its booked well it can actually be a really cool way to get the title shot and some inter brand rivalry.

True...but perhaps it could open the night...be like a special one time
only event...a true landmark in the overall history of the pay per view.

That way if it doesn't work out...no need for a second one...and if it
does work out...just bring it back the next year.

I do like the idea though.
Nice...

True...perhaps just keep the number to around 20 and only include
the actual female wrestlers with the right skills and training. The
list I presented was all the current ladies on the entire WWE roster.
I wouldn't expect all of them to get a run.

Another idea would be to throw in a few past female competitors...
like Lita or Trish (I've only recently come back to wrestling...so there
is a big gap in my knowledge of just what ladies have worked for the
company in the last 15 years...Lita and Trish are the best examples
I could think of)

but if its booked well it can actually be a really cool way to
get the title shot and some inter brand rivalry.
That would be the idea...a couple of surprise debuts,
A dominant force who cleans house (Nia Jax), the other
ladies teaming up to eliminate her, a few old rivals clashing,
the four horsewomen in the ring at the same time (depending
on who has the two titles of course), Asuka kicking everyone
in the face, a shocking betrayal or two...I'm sure the WWE
could book it right...most of the elements are there...they
just need to be put together in the right order.

In theory it's a good way to help legitimize the Women's division more but in practice I don't see it working out. WWE would make it too much of a gimmicky thing.

How would it become a "gimmicky thing"? I'm not sure I understand the
term and what it means...I mean most wrestlers have a "gimmick" right?

My bad should of elaborated. What I mean is that it'll be less about The Women in the match and more about the match itself and pushing the already dead 'Women's revolution' shtick. That narrative has been used too much and kinda takes away from the actual renaissance of Women's wrestling these past 2-3 years.

Okay...but...without the women in the match...there is no match...

May-be I'm just being too naive about the idea...I just think its time for the ladies
to have their own Rumble...I guess I don't care why it happens...I'd just be happy
that it happened.

I agree, that it'd be cool. I would say not this year though. As it stands, it would have to realistically be less than 20 (probably 10 wrestlers) participants. We need another year or two to add a few more women to the main roster. That way we can also have the option of a title feud along with the rumble match itself.

You make valid points...but I guess I'd rather have it sooner rather than later...
plus the WWE could always bring in some of the bigger name independent
workers to fill out the 30 needed spots for a Women's Rumble.

The only problem is, the audience more than likely won't react to the independent stars. (same goes for some NXT talent who the casual fans may not be familiar). There aren't really any HUGE female stars out there along the lines of AJ Styles. You need that caliber of star for a debut to work. If you wait a year, you should have a larger talent base to make this work (especially with the rumored Women's tournament, which will likely bring an influx of talent into the company).

If they rush this, I fear the company *cough* Vince *cough* may not like the outcome and then they won't want to try it again. Waiting a year or two gives it its best chance of success making it more likely to occur again in the future.

Yeah Broski...I agree 100%...I guess its just the WWE woman's division has
come so far in the last 12 months...I just want them to keep the momentum
going and continue to build on the success they've had.

There are other matches besides a Royal Rumble that could help push the
division as a whole...A ladder match, I Quit match, A Money in the Bank
ladder match (3 ladies from RAW 3 from SmackDown), First Blood match,
Last Woman Standing Match, A Chairs match, Casket mach and one I
think would be a great fun...a Buried Alive match.

A SmackDown Roster Elimination Chamber Match would be amazing to
see as well and most of the ladies there have good in-ring chemistry together.

Not sure why this thread ended up in the WoW section, so I moved it here. Thought it'd be more appropriate to have it here.
