The funniest thing is, I don't think it matters as much as it may have before. If the idea was to make Lesnar into an unstoppable beast that gets finally taken down by Roman... that time has passed, really. Roman has been built up apart from Lesnar over the years and no longer really needs the rub from him. Plus, Lesnar's aura from beating the Undertaker's streak and plowing through Cena is pretty much gone. He's still Lesnar, but he also got destroyed by Goldberg, manhandled by Samoa Joe during the beginning of their match, completely dominated by Braun Strowman on more than one occasion. It just won't mean what it would have meant if they would have done it years ago.

Now don't get me wrong, I've said for a while I have wanted to see this rematch. And I do. But Roman doesn't need to beat Lesnar to attain any sort rub.

I've said in the past that I thought it was a mistake to do this anyway, because it was following in the line of the Ultimate Warrior. You don't want to OP your wrestlers to a point where they have no credible opponent. However, with Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe and Goldberg's handling of Lesnar over the past year and a half, Roman beating Lesnar would not have the effect I thought it would.

I am still looking forward to the match even with the predictable outcome. I figure the match itself will be Lesnar dominating Roman for the most part and that will be fun, regardless of how the match will end.

So basically they've made Roman look too strong...& Brock not strong enough?

No, that's oversimplifying what I said. I don't believe Roman has been made to look too strong. However, he has attained the status on his own that they were hoping to give him by beating Lesnar. Lesnar is not the unstoppable beast he was when this match originally went down. The circumstances are different, is all. I would say by comparison, Lesnar still is the stronger competitor. Roman does have less to gain from this than he would have three years ago when this originally was supposed to happen.

Oh..sorry...I have a habit of doing that.

I don't believe Roman has been made to look too strong.
Really? Okay...

However, he has attained the status on his own that they were hoping to give him by beating Lesnar.
Well its not hard to attain that status when
you've been constantly pushed since...let's
say the Royal Rumble 2015.

Another example of this would be Alexa Bliss...
I mean if you look at her win/loss record, who
she has defeated cleanly & how long she has
held the respective titles...its kind of sad really.

Because much like with Reigns...others have
to lay down for you to attain the status the WWE
wants you to have...and its fair to say that a large
portion of the fan base don't want to see that
week in/week out with Reigns.

Lesnar is not the unstoppable beast he was when this match originally went down. The circumstances are different, is all.
I like how the WWE is just repeating Wrestlemania 31
again & hoping it "works" this time.

4 straight years of the Wrestlemania main event being shrouded in boos.

Its not a very good look for wrestling as a whole really.

In the Music Industry...if a band isn't selling...you drop them & sign someone else...
In Hollywood...if a lead actor doesn't fit the role...you cast someone else...
In retail...if a product isn't selling...you stock something else...

With the WWE...you just keep bashing your fans over the head with the same shit
until they simply relent & except that you know better.

Its really embarrassing for wrestling as an entertainment media as it makes the
WWE look like they don't give a shit about their fans & what they want.

Ugh...

Whatever...Tenille is wrestling on the Indies now & NXT is great...so I'll watch what
I like & ignore what I don't.

But everyone else?

Not really everyone. Not Joe and not Braun. He comes across more as lucky to me than strong. But that is beside the point. Against Lesnar, which was what I was addressing, he does come across as being built up too strong

So...Oh God...I...I don't care...

I really don't. I'm sorry but this
conversation is depressing.

I hope those who watch it enjoy it...but I
will not be watching Reigns vs. Lesnar Mk.II.

Sorry you find it depressing, I was not trying to do that. But I will clarify, when you questioned that I was saying that Roman was being booked to look too strong and Lesnar too weak, my assumption was simply that you meant against each other. That is it.

I'm not a fan of Roman's and still to this day, if I never had to see the guy again, I'd be a happy man.

Its cool Jakey-Jake...I just don't want to talk about the
Plank of Wood anymore.

I understand your point...but I don't really care because
I'm not watching the match.
