The funniest thing is, I don't think it matters as much as it may have before. If the idea was to make Lesnar into an unstoppable beast that gets finally taken down by Roman... that time has passed, really. Roman has been built up apart from Lesnar over the years and no longer really needs the rub from him. Plus, Lesnar's aura from beating the Undertaker's streak and plowing through Cena is pretty much gone. He's still Lesnar, but he also got destroyed by Goldberg, manhandled by Samoa Joe during the beginning of their match, completely dominated by Braun Strowman on more than one occasion. It just won't mean what it would have meant if they would have done it years ago.
Now don't get me wrong, I've said for a while I have wanted to see this rematch. And I do. But Roman doesn't need to beat Lesnar to attain any sort rub.
I've said in the past that I thought it was a mistake to do this anyway, because it was following in the line of the Ultimate Warrior. You don't want to OP your wrestlers to a point where they have no credible opponent. However, with Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe and Goldberg's handling of Lesnar over the past year and a half, Roman beating Lesnar would not have the effect I thought it would.
I am still looking forward to the match even with the predictable outcome. I figure the match itself will be Lesnar dominating Roman for the most part and that will be fun, regardless of how the match will end.
