Things just keep going from bad to worse for them, terrible last ten minutes by them but well done to Victory for capitalising on it.

Some odds rumours going around, apparently David Gallop has talked to David Beckham's manager about bringing him in for a 10 game stint but Beckham is completely denying it. Would be great to get him here, even if it was just a short guest stint, but I just can't see it happening at all.

Another game and another two goals for Del Piero, he is now the equal top scorer with Heskey.

Adelaide just keep rolling on this season with a 2-1 win over Sydney thanks to a late goal by Vidosic. Things just can't go right for Sydney at the moment and they are bottom of the table but they don't seem like the worst team in the league. They do need to do something about their defense though as it continues to leak plenty of goals.

Bosnich has come out and said that Sydney should chase Roberto Di Matteo as coach. Surely there is no way that Sydney will get him, he would be paid a fraction of what he gets in Europe and surely another European club would be chasing him.

FoxSports said:
Barclays Premier League giants Manchester United will return to Australia for the first time in 14 years to face an A-League All Stars squad in July.

Destination NSW and Football Federation Australia on Monday announced the Red Devils would play in a friendly match at Sydney's ANZ Stadium on July 20.

Organisers said United would bring their full squad for the match with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Rio Ferdinand and Nani set to play in front of a certain sell-out crowd.

The club last played in Australia in 1999, against the Socceroos in both Sydney and Melbourne, but big names including the likes of David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and manager Sir Alex Ferguson were left at home.

The A-League team will be selected by fans and could feature the likes of Sydney FC marquee man Alessandro Del Piero, Brisbane's Thomas Broich and Besart Berisha, Perth's Shane Smeltz and Melbourne Victory's Marcos Flores.

Now this is cool. This will be even bigger than when Beckham came here with LA Galaxy. I like that they will face an all stars team rather than a specific A-League club. I am looking forward to seeing who gets chosen to play and also who gets chosen to coach, I already like the idea of Dwight Yorke coaching the All Stars with his link to both sides. The A-League team will get schooled but still I am definitely going to watch this.

Anyone thinking of actually going to the game?

Tickets are almost sold out. Even trying to find a way. eBay is your best bet now

Yeah it says that the general public ticket allocation has been exhausted. I knew that it would sell well I just didn't expect 80k tickets to go so quickly, the NSW government is going to make a killing on this.

I hope that both Fox Sports and SBS air this game so that as many people can see it as possible.

Terrible performance by Adelaide the other night, 6-1 loss shouldn't happen to a team that is one point off first. Still clear in second place but it is a bit of a downer since Adelaide had been playing so well. I have to say though that the Wanderers are playing great football for a first year team.

Sydney are starting to turn their season around, massive 7-1 win over Wellington with ADP scoring four goals. Huge performance and Joel Griffiths even managed to score on debut.

It is great timing to sign another big name in Griffiths, I am pretty confident that Sydney will make it to the finals now. He was a great player when he was part of the Newcastle Jets and that first game showed that he hasn't lost his touch.

So Sydney now have Del Pierro, Griffiths, Emerton and Neill on the roster, impressive job to fit all that under the salary cap. Sydney should fly home with the squad they have now especially since they also have Frank Farina signed up as full time coach.

In other news Adelaide's slump since Kosmina walked out continues. Went from challening for top spot to struggling to stay in the finals hunt, wish he had just stayed for the rest of the season and then dealt with his contract situation.
