TNA did fix one thing that has been a problem with their show lately... the match length this week was fanfreakingtastic. The show could use a promo segment or two (SPUD'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And his suit looks ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to break things up a bit, but hell. TNA continues to deliver entertaining shows.
When watching the Low-Ki MVP match, the commentary did stick out to me. It felt like they didn't have much to say in many spots as they kept putting over Angle for coming up with this amazing tournament and talking it up, but... they were actually talking about wrestling. They were trying to sound like wrestling announcers which makes them soooooooooooooo much better than the Three Stooges on Raw.
Anyway, MVP and Low Ki was pretty boring at first when I was trying to watch live, but man oh man did that match pick up as it went on. Fantastic action! Had me on the edge of my seat down the stretch, MVP is doing his best Miz impression, doing the little things well and doing a lot of annoying moves which make him a great heel worker as all the shine stays on Low Ki who hasn't lost any steps after all these years, and he really delivered tonight. And yes, it told a good story with Ki needing to go to the well with the Ki Crusher the whole time, then it wound up costing him the match.
Robbie: "When you look in this ring, what do you see?"
Taz: "A jabroni"
^One of my top 5 mark-out moments of the year. Tajiri vs Robbie E happened. Tajiri looks really weird. anyway enough of that AUSTIN ARIES IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And put on a hilarious match with Knux! First I thought "Aries can make anything entertaining. He could surely entertain our way to a good match against a 2x4, and now he gets to do that!"... then right afterwards Knux hits a dropkick. LOL. Don't want Aids spamming gay notifications for trying to put into words how great Aries is so... yeah, go find this match and watch it. THAT BRAINBUSTER WAS FUCKING AMAZING
Magnus vs Mr Anderson put me to sleep, and then I slept through Abyss vs Sam Shaw. Yay! (actually Abyss vs Shaw has to be the worst match of the year for this company, everything the first match did right this one fucked up horribly, and Abyss is even less scary than Kane these days). Sadly this hurt my enjoyment of the main event, but... Aries vs Lashley 2 is going to absolutely kick ass and I can't wait to see it.
So what's next week? Havok vs Gail Kim? Yay! The Wolves announce the final stip, and Aries announces his shot at Bobby Lashley?
