It was OFN and 90% of the show was just BFG series competitor A calling out competitor B. Pretty boring, but with a couple nice matches. Joe beat Pope, Bully beat Magnus, Robbie E beat Hardy by count out, and Angle got beat up by A&8 before his match with Roode could start. A&8 did that beatdown, a beatdown to shut down gut check, and a main event beat down to close the show. It was pretty meh but lots of solid wrestling.

I see. Thanks D'Z.

Impossible episode to grade. Liked the BFG Series matches, but Aces and Eights... Get the fuck out of here.

I like having a lot of BFG Series matches as well.. that was the meat to the meal, but we had no potatoes, no bread, no dessert, and really not even any salt and pepper for our meat, it was just a giant slab of meat. It's great to put on a lot of good matches during your show, but with no style to go with a great deal of substance it just makes for an uninspiring albeit solid show.

I suppose that in TNA's mind they had style with the Claire/AJ storyline and Aces and Eights, but if you hate AJ/Claire as much as I do and you feel the Aces and Eights storyline flopped like I do, those two aspects of the show aren't adding anything. I've commented enough on the babies Daddy storyline, so forget that. It sucks and we all know it.

Aces and Eights storyline feels like it never got off the runway. They attacked Sting and disappeared for 3 weeks, and IMO it killed the stories 'momentum' whatever momentum they would have had at least. They come back, take out Sting, take out Hogan, and really didn't built themselves up. Now they pretty much run this episode from start to finish, and still nobody seems to care. When you have your new group and what I'm sure they hope to be the center of a hot storyline take out Kurt Angle to open the show and prevent what would have been a great match with Storm, take out the gut check judges and the noob who was getting a try out, and close the show by taking out your top heel and world champion at the same time and people still don't seem to care? That's a massive problem.

So there's my take. Tons of good wrestling and two angles that just aren't hitting home with me or most people from what I've gathered. My guess is next week without OFN it will be a better show, and I really hope TNA can do something to spice up the Aces & Eights story to get people interested, because they can't afford to have two major storylines going on that nobody gives a shit about.. and clearly they already have one with AJ

Solid episode, too much matches, but eh, it was decent overall. Mr. Anderson's in-ring work is bollocks.
