Snow Bay made a brave bid to land his hat-trick in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last time but found Justonefortheroad a length too good. Dandy Nicholls' charge can take this if running up to a similar level as he had Space War back in third with Charlie Cool, Collateral Damage, Kiwi Bay and Dream Lodge all well behind on that occasion. Sarrsar could prove the main threat on his reappearance as the Godolphin gelding won three times last year, though both handicap wins came over a longer trip. Amethyst Dawn looks likely to find the fast ground against her but Kay Gee Be has place claims off his current mark.
