Royal Rumble 28 hours away!

It's 28 hours until the start of the kick off show, and I can't wait!

The wife, baby, and I are going to our friends house towatch the rumble on his projection thing (sounds cool.. and big lol) although might have to leave early depending on how the little one holds up being out for so long.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be alot of hype surrounding this royal rumble event?
Like being in the Alamo dome for the first time in 20 years I'm sure will make it cool, not to mention it's wrestlemania sized capacity. The thing I'm most looking forward to is seeing the stage setup.

Kinda hope they do a throwback with no stage to maximize seats...but then it won't give the same theatrical appeal for entrances. Either way I'm excited!

Alrighty, so no Omega now, trying to get that out of my head, how about Balor returns, Joe is called up, Dillinger makes a surprise appearance, so does the UK champ, and Shinsuke arrives at number 30 to win the things and take on AJ at mania? I will literally keep drinking and thinking these things until the rumble boys.

Can't wait to drink everyones tears when Samoa Joe doesn't debut nor does Shinsuke, can't wait for them to stink up a Wrestlemania Main Event like they did the last 4 times in NXT. Now the golden child Kenny Omega isn't debuting how sad they'll move onto the next project Samoa Joe and when he doesn't debut, beat Cena clean and go on a 2 year Goldberg rampage with both world titles they will have "dropped the ball" on him.

People just need to face that Reigns Vs Undertaker and Goldberg Vs Brock Lesnar are your main events, nothing is going to change Vince's tunnel vision and no Samoa Joe isn't a better choice maybe 5 years ago yeah but not anymore.

Yeah I kind of feel like the hype is way too much, so much that it could be a big let down overall.

I'm still being positive about "it seems like anyone can win" this year though. But storyline-wise, there's only a few that make sense.

I honestly don't think Nakamura is going to be there and I have adamantly insisted over and over that Omega won't be there. But I without a doubt believe Samoa Joe will be there. I don't believe he is going to win, but I 100% believe he's going to be there.

I am glad people are hyped about it, regardless of why they are. More energy around a pay per view makes it more enjoyable in my viewpoint.

I also think Balor may show up. Maybe. If he did I can see him and joe having a stand off moment. Which would be awesome. But joe is def coming.

The rumble is great this year because of the shock value it can potentially have. WWE will most likely fuck up the ending as they usually do lately, except for last year. Although I called last years, and it was semi predictable, it was great to see triple h kill dean and Roman.

I think there will be plenty off great moments that we will all enjoy. The stand off on raw was just the teaser. Now let's watch these fuckers all brawl.

Current Mania plans are for Goldberg Vs Brock to have the Universal Title after Goldberg beats the winner of tonights Universal title match (Likely Owens because Reigns the golden boy can't be made to look weak but Owens can), Orton is planned to win the Rumble and face Wyatt for the WWE title after Wyatt wins it in the Chamber match.

Was on WOR this morning, its about as accurate as its going to get. Goldberg is booked to face the Universal Champion at Fastlane so chances are if Owens retains tonight then he'll be demolishing Owens for the belt, if Reigns wins then its still possible Goldberg will win through interference from Undertaker. Brock isn't booked for Fastlane at all afaik so chances of him interfering are slim. WWE want Goldberg Vs Lesnar to take place for the belt and in the main event so.

I hope so too. Its not like I want this to happen, I was super hyped for the Rumble until the news of the likely outcomes broke and it just deflated everything. I'll try and enjoy AJ/Cena as much as possible but knowing that everything that made Smackdown great for the last 6 months is going to die on Tuesday is a major buzzkill. I just don't see why Wyatt and Orton need the belt, Raw is a tainted show anyway so Brock Vs Goldberg taking the belt isn't a huge surprise but Undertaker Vs Reigns is just fucking dumb, there is no possible way its going to get him over and I'm just tired of that constant pushing Reigns onto everything thats popular in hopes he'll get over when its just not happening. Raw was always tainted and now its just spread to Smackdown and it sucks, its like Vince forgot about Smackdown's existence for a few months and is now catching up on 6 months of bullshit in 1 week.

Wrestling Observer is very often wrong. They have already changed their predictions several times and I am sure they will continue to do so. When you predict about 100 different possibilities, you're likely to eventually have some right.

And yes, they often are right too. But I've been following them since the late 1980's and they are very often wrong and very often continuously change their predictions as they go along. My advice is usually don't believe anything until you see it.
