Sooo... The premiere episode of 205 Live was good. I enjoyed it.
- First off, I liked the entire CW division being brought to the stage for an introduction. That was a good idea, since not everyone watched the CWC. I also liked Aries teasing going after the CW title when healthy.
- The Bollywood Boyz vs Drew Gulak & Tony Nese was a solid show opener. ★★½
Liked the video package they put together for the Bollywood Boyz. I liked 'em in CWC and for their brief stint in NXT, so obviously I am looking forward to seeing more of them on 205 Live. Now, the match itself was solid, but could've been a bit more smoother and energetic since it was supposed to set the tone for the series. Anyways, The Bollywood Boyz won their debut match with stereo Superkicks. Post-match, Gulak and Nese blamed a lumpy ring and greasy ropes for their loss. LOL
- There was a video package for Noam Dar.
- The Brian Kendrick/TJ Perkins stuff was fine.
- They aired a video package for Gran Metalik. I am so hyped for him on the show.
- Jack Gallagher vs Ariya Daivari was solid given the time constraint. ★★½
I absolutely love Jack Gallagher, I could watch him wrestle all day. He is different. The dude does comedy wrestling and he is just thoroughly entertaining, while Ariya Daivari is a solid hand. They worked a fun 5 minute match where the goal was to show off The Extraordinary Gentleman's offense. Gallagher won with a Running Dropkick in the corner.
- They aired video packages for Lince Dorado and Rich Swann. WWE is really good with video packages and every single one throughout the show was good. Swann's video package was the best by far, by the way.
- Rich Swann vs The Brian Kendrick was a very good ME. ★★★¾
Even though the crowd wasn't there early, Swann and Kendrick worked a really good match and made them care by the end of it. That homestretch and finish was so good! And holy crap, the title changed hands! I did not see that coming, I was totally expecting Kendrick to retain via some shenanigans, but that wasn't the case. It was actually a pretty nice surprise. Swann has been shining since arriving and he totally deserves the CW title.
