2022 Mafia Host Thread

Put me down for Quentin Tarantino Universe Mafia, it'll be 16 players and I'll still co-host with Smark if he's down as it will be a similar sort of set-up as I had already sent him prior. Likely to be late 2022/early 2023.

Nice. I did start watching this years ago, loved the first 2 seasons then started dropping off. I don’t even remember where I actually got up to haha, might have been toward the end of season 4. I should get back to it, think I fell off because I was moving house and shit. First 2 seasons were great, though. Thought s3 was a bit shite from memory

I feel season 1 was near perfect in its execution and then they got lost in the more fantastical elements, but season 3 was really good, though. The twist on Neverland was done really well and I liked how they they included the Wizard of Oz. Season 4 they did a really new movie tie in and it felt like Disney forcing them to promote their latest movie. It literally just came out before that season. That was probably my least favorite season. I’d guess more so that’s what your thinking of when you think season 3, but I could be wrong.

Queen Regina was a GOAT heel. Terrible face

I love Regina’s relationship with Henry, but I agree when she’s portraying the Evil Queen character specifically as a good guy, the writing fails the actress. But when she’s just Regina being a good mom, I enjoyed it. It was a good arc for her.

She however was definitely the best villain.

Yep, season 4. I was like why are we doing Frozen?

Disney owns ABC so I can almost guarantee you it was a directive hey we want to tie that shit and make it happen.

I say we put signups for this at the start of Dec and decide a game start date in advance (so people know if they can sign up or not). Having it up for at least a couple weeks will hopefully help us get more signups and give it that xmas mafia feel.

Yep sounds good. I've made the setup pretty flexible with regards to numbers so anywhere between 18-26 will work.
