I was optimistic but talks between MLB and the MLBPA aren’t going too well. Might be a while before we get baseball

Is that because the players are concerned about playing right now?

The owners want them to take a pay cut. The players are already getting their yearly salary basically cut in half, but the owners want to pay them even less since they’re gonna miss half a year of ticket sales, concessions and other revenue. They’ve gotta work that agreement out before they can move forward

To put it in perspective, I read this in the paper this morning.

Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies was scheduled to make $26 million this year. With the shortened season, his prorated salary would be $13.6 million. The owner of the Phillies want to pay him $3.9 million.

That’s happening to every player in the league in obviously they’re not happy about it.

Every other sport seems to be figuring it out. Getting closer and closer to there potentially not being baseball this year

A week before the season and on a Saturday is perfect for me. After the 02 watch along would be perfect but if it starts during it so other people can make the draft, that would be fine

I'd be fine with doing it early on Saturday. I just want the most amount of people making it tbh I'd be willing to autodraft but I think I can make it anytime on Saturday
