Marshall Thundering Herd 10 - 17 Buffalo Bulls

Christmas Day would see action take place in the Camellia Bowl in our current prediction leader HoHo would suffer their first loss and thus end any chance of claiming a 100% flawless record. HoHo though maintains the lead as second ranked KIF, also had their chips down on Marshall with only Blaze, Chris and Juice backing the Bulls which for Blaze and Juice puts them in tied second place. The incorrect pick by MyPrerogative, unfortunately puts him at the bottom of the pile with the only person below 50% correct.

With seven bowls played - we have completed 25% of Bowl Games. Every game apart apart from the Championship Game, is now live and ready to be predicted on. Good luck with the rest of your picks.

Our three Boxing Day games proved to be quite exciting way to get over the Christmas Day Hangovers. Everyone on the board selected the winning Ragin' Cajuns meaning that the First Responder Bowl was effectively redundant. However the Lendingtree Bowl would see a split in picks, with MyPrerogative and Buttermaker taking a gamble on the losing record Western Kentucky, but the gamble would not pay off as Georgia State would take the W and give the points to the rest of the field.

The Cure Bowl would prove to be without a doubt the most intense Bowl Games of the season so far with the Liberty Flames taking the game in overtime. What makes this win even more important is that only Blaze and MyPrerogative put their money down on Liberty. The rest of the field had put their faith in Coastal Carolina, apart from Buttermaker who failed to make a selection on this contest.

These three game hands our leader HoHo their second loss, whilst because of Blaze's packing the Flames he moves into joint first. There is still plenty of games left for anyone involved to make a turnaround and claim the title. MyPrerogative is the example of this, of someone who took a risk on a much lesser ranked team and it paid off meaning they moved out of their negative percentile score. Also a reminder that everyone check they predict on all games, because to the naked eye I might fail to notice you haven't made all the selections.

The second set of Bowl Games came to an end with the Cheez-It and Alamo Bowls. The Cheez-It Bowl would see a real mix of opinions across the board with more than half the predictors favouring the higher seeded Miami Hurricanes. It would however be the Cowboys who would claim the victory with Chris, Juice and MyPrerogative being the trio to add the win to their respective columns. In the Alamo Game, everyone apart from Buttermaker would successfully pick the Longhorns to victory.

These two game now see HoHo, Blaze and Juice sitting at the top of the pile with a record of 9-3. Meanwhile, Buttermaker slips down the table with a differential of -4.

Oklahoma Sooners 55-20 Florida Gators

The Duke's Mayo Bowl was a dead certainty for everyone in the field picking the Badgers to win (apart from Blaze who failed to make picks for either of these games). The Cotton Bowl Classic would be a certainly more interesting encounter with #6 and #7 ranked team lining up in what should of be a game too close to call. However, it was anything but that as the Sooners would pound the Gators into the earth. To make this even more of a massive win for Oklahoma, only HoHo, Chris and MyPrerogative would back the Sooners in this encounter.

This means that HoHo has taken the lead once more, whilst Chris and MyPrerogative have both made outstanding comebacks very much putting themselves back in the race. Twelve games remaining.
