People are jizzing over that Oregon TE in GB too.
I don't think a Packers TE carries fantasy relevance this season. Boykin will be the #3 option in the passing game + Lacy is going to get close to 20 touches per likely.
So you're looking at Lacy eating up tons of carries, Jordy/Cobb will both get a ton of targets, Boykin is solid in the slot and then any TE will be at best the #5 in that offense... add in that there is no clear cut TE atm, just a bunch of guys, and it is an easy decision to look for TEs elsewhere in the draft. Of course if Lyerla pulls his head out of his ass (loooooooooooooooooooooong shot) he is on the radar, but unless you are in a super deep league he isn't anywhere near draftable at this point unless you really just have a gut feeling he is going to turn shit around and dominant as an undrafted rookie TE with a coke problem.

So You Had A Bad Day:
Tight end
Colt Lyerla
Given the uncertainty among the
Packers tight end group, there will be plenty of opportunities for roster spots to be won at that position. Unfortunately for Colt Lyerla, his first NFL training camp practice was not a good one.
On a day in which there were very few dropped passes overall, Lyerla had two of them. One would have been a relatively difficult catch as
Matt Flynn underthrew a deep pass, but Lyerla slipped, got his hands on it and couldn't haul it in. The other was a more routine play on a rollout from Flynn that Lyerla has to make.
As an undrafted free agent with the off-the-field history that Lyerla has, he has to be a lot better than he was Saturday in order to stick around.
