Last year Kane kept the ECW title and at the next ppv he lost it. Which was dumb. The year before Lashley just won the ECW title and was stripped of it when he got drafted. We don't know how it's going to work, but I think It'd be dumb for Christian to win his 1st title since returning, only to lose it a couple weeks later. He wouldn't get a rematch, he can't go back after the guy that beat him, he can't do nothing but move on. And to what?
Yes it's happened in the past but it was dumb how that went too. It's the ECW title, why be the champ when you're not on that show/brand? That means he's either A. Guaranteed to lose it within 4 weeks or B. Get stripped of the title. I was glad he was back, then disappointed that he was on ECW, but it makes since. There's a new crowd Christian has to entertain now from when he was there in 05. He needs to get over with the new crowd, prove to them what he has and what he can do, he needs to be built up 1st, he can carry ECW now.
It also proves my theory the other day about Christian being drafted to Smackdown to finish off the Edge and Vikie and Jeff storyline once he has some Mania momentum with title after beating Swagger.
That momentum that he would have coming off of that would be gone once he leaves ECW. It's too early for him to leave, too early for them to capitalize on adding Christian to that angle. You want to add Christian to that program, then what? It goes on for 2 or 3months and that's it? They can really make that feud go on for a while, they can make it one of the greatest in history... if played right. Adding Christian to it now wouldn't make it better, he'll be added in prematurely. Matt just got in on it and they're really done nothing with that yet. I don't even think there is no Edge/Jeff anymore. It's all Matt and Jeff now. Edge is busy with Triple H and Big Show. Where would Christian fit into that?
