He wasn't a musical savant. His music wasn't the least bit challenging or "inventive" it was simply fartknocker, "college rock" that any half ass drunk could play.

Dave Grohl's not a talented drummer either. I don't care how "dynamic" people claim he is. There's entire genres of metal that shit all over Grunge in terms of "musical ability". (and thank fuck it's not played on the radio)
