What the hell do you expect? The WWE only gets a few million viewers and the ratings continue to drop. Wrestling fans will go see movies starring wrestlers. Other people will go see movies like watchmen.

For the record...I thought the Marine was good. When I mean good, I mean funny and entertaining. Odd because it was supposed to be a serious action movie.

Has anyone even seen 12 Rounds yet? I bet it isn't that bad.

I have yes. Its a good film dude, action, john cena's cheesey line in one part. When you watch it i bet you will know which one im on about. But that bad guy plays it well and i didn't see a certain part of the film coming either. Its kind of like die hard with a bit of cheese in it lol.

Imo Cena is just as shitty an actor as he is a wrestler [That's what i think Cena fans (Sorry wordlife and XBA)]. I knew it was going to bomb just like The Marine or See No Evil but i do have to say Cena wasn't just at fault on this one, WWE Films hasn't once produced a decent movie since the begining. Maybe WWE should stop wasting both their time and money and stop trying to break into Hollywood, because it ain't ever gonna happen.

Is it cheesy like "Marine" cheesy, because "Country Ass Crackers craving some Man Love" is pretty cheesy and down right wierd at the same time.

According to Box Office Mojo, John Cena's 12 Rounds did an estimated $1,750,000 at the box office last night, putting it in sixth place on the current movie list. In comparison, The Marine drew $2,366,981 on its opening day, finishing with $7,138,774 for the weekend; See No Evil drew $1,681,241 on its opening day, finishing with $4,581,233; and The Condemned drew $1,333,622 on its opening day, finishing with $3,807,595. On the plus side, 12 Rounds beat out Dwayne Johnson's Race To Witch Mountain by an estimated $250,000.

1. "Monsters vs. Aliens," $58.2 million.

2. " The Haunting in Connecticut ," $23 million.

3. "Knowing," $14.7 million.

4. "I Love You, Man," $12.6 million.

5. "Duplicity," $7.6 million.

6. "Race to Witch Mountain," $5.6 million.

7. "12 Rounds," $5.3 million.

8. " Watchmen ," $2.755 million.

9. "Taken," $2.75 million.

10. " The Last House on the Left ," $2.6 million.

So it finished with more than 5mil and is considered a flop????? THey don't invest that much into these movies and make HUGE returns once the DVD comes out and the star is everywhere signing the DVD (which you have to buy to get an autograph). I got the Marine, See No Evil and the Condemned all for ONE reason only - they are all autographed - 2 in person at FYE in NY and one from wwe.com (the Marine). I doubt this can really be considered a flop. Sure the movie probably sucks ass but to call it a flop after it debuts with more than See No Evil and the Condemned is just wrong.

Oh yeah - about a month ago I said in a thread that the Rocks movie would make more than 50 mil its opening weekend and that this movie would not make more than 10 mil - I was right. thx.

Edit: thread with my prediction: http://www.impactwrestling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30798

^^^ You're absolutely right. I looked around to see if I could find out how much the movie cost to make, and I have come up with 20 million. So if that's true, then 5 million in the opening weekend isn't too bad. It might finish up between 10-15 million, but then you have what it does overseas and of course where the big money comes from, the DVD release. The Marine did 20 million in theatres, and 30 million in DVD sales. So this movie should end up turning a profit, and if it does that, I seriously doubt the WWE would consider this movie a "flop".

On a side note SnackZ, where did you get that the Rock's movie made 50 million in it's first weekend? I just looked it up, and from what I found, it made 25 million.

Wait, does this have Vinny Jones (Johns?) in it, the main bad guy from The Condemned? If so, I'm fucking watching this.

...it doesn't seems like the wwe is shoving this movie down our throats like the past releases.

You're shitting me right? ...I counted 3 segments in the most recent episode of raw and at least as many again the week before.

I'm just glad the motherfucker finally got released so we can look forward to hearing no more about it.
