Well damn, I'm not a big fan of internet rumors but I know who I would go train with if I ever wanted to a title shot in the WWE.

"You can't wrestle" chants at Dave lol, Ventura was fucking awesome lmao the turn at the end was just gold with the fans getting in on it too (throughout the night too), the "keep retiring em Randy!", good shit. Maryse is so ridiculously fucking hot it's not even funny. I don't think ANYONE gave a shit that Melina got her asskicked.

Lol at the lack of people that can't even spell SHAEMUS in this thread.

how was the Cena/Punk match?

I love that sheamus is in M-E now (HHH influence)

Wish it could have been Swagger tho

I live Maryse

Cena's promo during the contract signing won me over on this mini feud with Cena and Sheamus. He put it in perfect perspective and his shouting added to the promo unlike most times when it's annoying. Cena's promo showed a passion that I haven't got from him in a long time where it actually counted. Kudos to John on the great promo, Sheamus's rebuttle was meh.

I really wanted it to have been Swagger or Dibiase/Rhodes in a Triple Threat like it should have been for Survivor Series. Two better scenarios in my opinion, seriously what has Sheamus done? Squash Jamie Noble, beat up Mark Eaton, and kick Jerry Lawler. Come on, the 'main event' at a PPV, get real. I hate the fact that the other young talent was over looked so blatantly for this flavor of the month. Had Cena not delivered that incredible promo I would have 0 interest in this match.

1. Hottest diva ever...period.

2. It's Sheamus* (unless you're making fun of those who can't spell it)

3. Punk was fucking hilarious last night, that was one of the highlights of the night for me.

@MizMasta... Punk/Cena was a great match. It went around 12 minutes and they had some awesome back and forth action. The crowd was really into it. It looked like they were going squash put Punk fought to ropes TWICE in the same STF. Bottom line was that in one match Cena did more to make Punk look great than Taker did in their entire program. He even pulled out a second rope AA to finish him off.
On a side note...CMS predicted you'd come here wishing it was Swagger...LOL

Uh, Lesnar did the same shit. Squash jobbers and make himself look like a beast until he was almost immediately pushed into title feuds.

And what the hell has Swagger, Dibiasi or Cody done to warrant a title shot in the past month or so? Gimme a break.

Indeed, the crowd reaction proved it, funny stuff. She should have her own show, fuck the rest.

Shamus and of course, SAEMUS are the ridiculous ones, like not even borderline close.

And yeah, Punk was AWESOME. Seriously my love for him went up even more tons after that stuff, good shit.

I was also just beginning to get use to Sheamus.. but damn.

If nothing more this feud is going to hyper accelerate Sheamus' character growth and in ring abilities. Kudos to WWE for creating a legit bad ass heel once again.

And lol @ Batista pussying out already.

It's funny people also forgot Kozlov's same type of push foor the WWE title, btw. And look where he is now. Not saying it's relevant or Sheamus will turn out the same (he won't), but it's not THAT much of a stretch for the WWE to do this (Khali, Henry, anyone?).

Yeah I know, it's similar...not the same. I think we all kind of knew what was in Kozlov and Khali's future.
Sheamus really has a unique look, he looks great in the ring and he hits the gym with Trips..lol.

But seriously, I think they do have big things planned for this guy. I wouldn't be shocked down the road to see a massive Kofi/Sheamus feud for the title. It's almost as if the top heel and face in the company today are each training the next generation right now. Cena took Sheamus and Randy took Kofi. Pretty cool IMO.

On a side note, I wouldn't be shocked if Miz is next on the list of top priorities once he's done carrying the mid card.

Yeah, I mean I think that's the only reason this guy is even pushed like this, which is meh. If he wasn't 6'4" he would be shit, add on the unique sort of physique he has (he's clearly ripped, just hard to tell). Other than that, he sounds pretty bland on the mic aside from his accent.

On a side note, dude I just finished watching Raw and I can't get Sheamus' theme song out of my head, lol.

Lesnar did it for more than three weeks on the main roster. Sheamus has been on Raw for less than a month after being on ECW and gets thrust into the main event.

First of all since you want to correct spelling, it's DiBiase.

I'll give you the Swagger thing, yeah he's done nothing but that's not his fault. He is given NOTHING to do week in and week out for no reason. I don't understand how you have strong mid card talent on the show but pass it up for somebody brand new. I'm trying to say that it's too quick for Sheamus and honestly how many times has this storyline happened.

Legacy on the other hand is in the same boat except they were credible after the DX feud but were just not used afterwards. Just because Sheamus has had three good weeks doesn't mean he should leap frog the heavy mid card talent already stacked up and ready for an opportunity.

I'm going completely off kayfabe here. Swagger has done nothing to warrant a title shot in a past few months, neither have Legacy who just came off a feud LOSING to the two guys who just challenged for the title. Since then they've done nothing. Sheamus on the other hand just came off of a successful feud with Goldust, retiring Jamie Noble, eliminating 3? people at Survivor Series, pinning Finlay twice and being undefeated.

I don't like comparing anyone to Lesnar, because the guy was a fucking anomaly. But let's give Sheamus some credit. He's doing a great job of coming off as a BAMF and has played the role they gave him to perfection. You may say it's too quick but I think it's perfect. WWE doesn't do these huge pushes too often anymore so it really came unexpectedly. I was just like everyone else expecting Kofi to win it.

And yes, obviously Swagger has a victim of horrible booking as of late, and I really don't see it being the end of it. Look at who he was partnered with last night. I like Swagger as well, I'm not complaining about him. I was pretty shocked to see what they did to him last night too.

@Great One... yes of course his size is one of the reasons for his push. You can say the same about Lesnar though. What would he have been if not for his size. And as for Sheamus' mic work... give it time, he's cut what 3 promos since being in WWE? I'm sure he'll progress. He's also got the fact that he speaks gaelic to run off of and get him heat.

And yes, his theme is EXTREMELY catchy. And actually inspired me to listen to a whole lot of Dropkick Murphy's last night...lol

And Rod, let's not be typo police.

Raw was a good show for once. I liked punk calling people fat. Orton taking out primo was a shock and plus jesse was gold as per usual. Sheamus winning the battle royal was a shocker i thought it was ted dibiase's match up with the dvd coming up soon. One thing i would have changed on raw though. Kane holding batista by the throat and then threatening him would have been much better.

Overall raw was 4.5/5

^I'm hoping they haven't already converted him into Bitchtista. Hopefully he'll destroy Kane on Smackdown.
