I'm having the hardest decision right now as to what kind of T.V. I should buy. My local Futureshop/Visions have 52" TV's which seems like a perfect size and the best I've seen are...
LG
Sony
Samsung
So my dilemma is... Sony has the Z Series with 120 HZ rate, or the V series with 60 HZ. So obviously I want the Z series (As I have a PS3, Blu-Ray movies and some kick ass games). So I ask what the Samsung equivilant to the Sony Z series is and he points me to a T.V costing about $1200 more. He says it has double the speed of the processor or something but yeah its prolly not worth $1200 more.
Then he points me to an LG television. He says it uses the same screen as Sony/Samsung.. has 120 HZ, and 1080P. AND he says it has better sound quality if I'm not picking up a home entertainment package. Only reason the Sony might cost more is because they can use their name to their advantage... Which makes sense as they usually do. He goes on to give me some spiel about how LG has had this recent push into the HDTV market and says the T.V. looks great and he hasn't had complaints about it.
So I go to the internet... I can't find anywhere that says LG/Sony/Samsung all use the same screens. And when I look up LG reviews.. I get about half the people saying they love it, and another half saying they had major issues. The common quote I found from like 4 different ppl on 4 different sites was "personally I don't touch LG" but they never really said why.
Anyone willing to help me out here as to what I should buy?
Is L.G. honestly that bad? And I'm talking about 45"+, I don't care if your 22" T.V didn't work.
