I am enjoying the character shift of of Shawn Michaels as he continues to lean further towards a heel alignment. It feels like not helping Austin (their drama in the opening segment and main event was good btw), was the perfect way to get Shawn booed in his hometown. Which again, in itself, feels like another big step in the character shift. Really well worked throughout the night.
I don't have a lot to say on the Taker stuff because it's closely following real life. Which whilst I've been critical of this method on the past, I'm not sure in relation to this scenario, how you're supposed to fix perfection.
Anyway, the one criticism I potentially have with Shawn and Taker having such personal, character altering journeys happening, it kind of feels like their first time match is the secondary/back up story. Which is a shame because the first time these two are meeting should be felt like a huge deal.
Bret/Austin is the opposite. You've managed to keep this feud hot for so long. Keeping Austin busy with the rest of The Hart Foundation worked on this show.
No Mike Awesome on this show made me.sad lol.
Other things I enjoyed were the more serious side of Goldust, because it felt like a logical reaction. And I LOVE the use of Scorpio as the new member of the nation. Shedding his slave name is awesome.
I am still really worried we are going to get DOA/Boriquas and based off how boring/taxing that was to follow in real life, I'm hoping you find something to give it a spark.
Also seems a copy and pasting error here as the attack on Crush and the Mero/Sable bit appeared twice on this show.
Finally, Mero was at his most enjoyable to watch as the jealous BF to Sable. He played the role perfectly. Looking forward to seeing how you put your own spin on things.
Another solid episode of raw here. Can't wait for Summerslam.
