So basically what this says to me is that even though they know who some of the guys under the masks are, it may end up being some or none of them when they're finally revealed. I think its time to stop the speculation on this one, tell the dirt sheets to go fuck themselves and just enjoy the...

That's not always true. Remember my example of Rush playing Barbosa well? Go read his lines on paper and you'll realize how awful they are. How then could he become such a compelling character? Great actors rise above the limitations imposed on them in scripts.

How about Geoffrey Rush? He'd just won basically every award for his performance in Shine the year before and he's one of the best actors in the world. That character of Barbosa that he plays in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies is so cookie cutter that its beyond brilliant that he can make...

He still did a way better job in conveying emotion than Arnold did, and I'm even an Arnold fan so its not like I'm just hating. He was a horrible choice for the part, but I know why they cast him so its fine. And as far as "under a mask" goes, don't give me that shit, because Andy Serkis can...

Wow, way to miss the point I was making about Adam West, but that's fine because you're young so its not really your fault. As far as what it takes to play the part, how about a little pathos? In case you aren't fully aware of the background of the character, why don't you go read up on him...

I wasn't that into Kilmer as Batman, but I thought that he did a great job playing Bruce Wayne. If you look at it this way, based on the performers, I'd say its like this... Adam West - Great Batman, Great Bruce Wayne (keeping in mind the campy nature of the show) Michael Keaton - Great...

Not only hot, but she also tried her best to nail the character, unlike everyone else in the movie. Victor Fries is one of the great tragic figures in comic book history and Arnold made him into a total goof.

On that we can agree, because that movie was just garbage. I mean, who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to a) cast George Clooney as Batman or b) put rubber nipples on the batsuit?

I wouldn't mind her either, damn she's hot. Imagine if it went on for like four or five weeks and each week he got more scared to come to the ring and got a little more time but they always came out to beat him up while he was trying to cut a promo?

That's also true, though Hardy does look like he's beefed up a bit for the role and he can do the tough guy thing, just watch Bronson.

Some kid named Sam Shaw, but Aces and Eights beat him down so he gets his shot next week. It'll be fucking money if they beat him down again and it becomes a running gag.

That's like saying Jack Nicholson wasn't The Joker because he had to fall into the vat of chemicals first. The thing is, a little creative licence is sometimes necessary to make these things work on the big screen. For example, the Joker has never been portrayed as he is in the comics (with...

Oh, ok then, thanks for clearing that up for me. I mean, silly me for thinking the character of Jonathan Crane was actually also Scarecrow, because you know, that's not how it worked in the comics or anything. I mean, I've only been reading Batman comics since before you were conceived, but...

I must be missing your point, because Crane actually is Scarecrow and even earlier in the film he used the mask to freak out Falcone. But I do agree that he wasn't the best villain for the movie, just more of a convenient one than anything else.

Scarecrow was so-so, way better in the comics, but Neeson was outstanding and Tom Wilkinson fucking owned as Falcone.

Actually, I thought Begins was better than The Dark Knight because it didn't drag on during its final act for way too long.

Also, just to put the overrating topic to bed, pretty much every movie ever made is overrated except Ladri di biciclette and Rashomon.

If its not "holy shit this movie is fantastic good" then its overrated. So is Batman Begins though.

Wanna bet The Dark Knight Rises is going to be overrated?

I know, but making fun of it totally gets under your skin so I will continue to do so and I'm seeing it in the morning so I can't wait to point out all its flaws as soon as I'm back.
