  1. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

Anyone who is negative about it clearly expected it to be an Alien-clone and nothing more. Trust me Troy, you could do a lot worse at the theatre. Would I seriously steer you wrong?
  2. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

If you go, make sure to spend the extra and see it in 3D (or preferably IMAX 3D if there's a theatre near you with it) because its incredible. Considering I hate 3D, that's pretty high praise.

    Prometheus (2012)

I'd be scared if I didn't trust Scott so much. It's pretty well known that he's hated all the Alien sequels (except MAYBE Cameron's but that's not even a definite) and so views his original as the one true version of that film. It would make sense for him to make two films that led into that...

    Prometheus (2012)

It's possible that LV-426 is the engineer's home world, though I doubt it given that it seems just like LV-223 in design. My guess is that they'd go the route of Elizabeth and David finding the home world and then having to pursue another engineer which causes them to sacrifice themselves to...

    Prometheus (2012)

The following can be gleaned from Scott's interview with Collider... As long as Scott's making it, I'm down, but he better hurry up because he's already 76 years old! I'm pretty sure I have the engineer's reasoning behind why they wanted to do what they were planning to do to us down, so I...

    Prometheus (2012)

BIG NEWS..... 20-30 extra minutes? I think I just jizzed. There's also been a lot of early talk for the sequel, as it appears Scott always intended to make two films. YES YES YES!!!
  7. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I think an LD is about the only way I'd watch either of the AVP films again. At least there'd be others around to make fun of the movies with me.
  8. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I'm sure Ridley Scott won't disappoint. Kind of like how James Cameron didn't disappoint when he made Aliens. Oh and that's also a great reminder that we're watching Aliens on Wednesday night at 8PM. That's right folks, might as well get a head start on this great franchise and join the fun.
  9. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I was just saying to Mrs. Fuji that if I could only see one film this year in a theater, I'd pick this over anything else, including Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
  10. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

It's definitely a prequel. I'd say that based on this clip with Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUxdAWrsag8

    Prometheus (2012)

They totally busted out the Space Jockey, that's nuts! It's a definite theater watch for me as well.

    Prometheus (2012)

I'll let the trailer speak for itself....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHcHYisZFLU&feature=player_embedded

    Prometheus (2012)

Wow, first of all, Roc was an awesome show and second, Dutton is a tremendous actor. Well I think so anyway.
  14. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I don't think its the worst of the four, but I will say this, I've probably watched Aliens the least amount of times in comparison to the others. I've seen the original the most, then the third and fourth, and Aliens brings up the rear. I'm not even sure why that is, though part of it has to...
  15. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I didn't mind 4 once I realized it was the director's attempt at making his version of an Alien film. Jeunet is a strange cat at the best of times so I liked seeing his take. I loved the cast too. Ron Perlman, Michael Wincott, Dan Hedaya, Dominiquie Pinon, Gary Dourdan, Brad Douriff, Leland...
  16. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I'd only go for the Blu Ray because they recorded new commentaries, but right now that's not enough to sway me. Also, I don't believe the workprint of Alien 3 is included, which is the only way I'll watch that movie.
  17. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I'm actually about to watch it right now.
  18. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

I love the sense of impending doom I get from the trailer and the fact that it seems the entire film will be claustrophobic and scary as hell, which it was.
  19. Fuji Vice

    Prometheus (2012)

Yeah, its better not to see a whole lot of what is going on. I like to let my imagination wander when watching trailers anyway. One thing's for sure, Scott certainly knows how to do trailers properly, check out the one from Alien, which I consider one of the more effective trailers I've ever...
