    That's not to say I'm against Blu Ray mind you. I'll buy anything new on Blu Ray, and even a bunch of older films like Gone With The Wind or Ben Hur. Basically anything that's sweeping and epic is great on BR, while I prefer grimy slashers on VHS.

    I think the compressed audio is part of the nostalgia factor, along with tracking errors and lines on the screen. There's just something about watching those films in that way that reminds me of how much fun I use to have watching them as a kid. There's really no right or wrong answer to this...

    I most likely won't buy this. I know I've said it before, but Blu Ray is not always the best way to go, particularly with 80's slasher films.
