The Official 2025-26 NASCAR Offseason Discussion Thread

Thor, Niece and Tricon are the heir apparents to the top of the truck series for sure. I would expect Spire to be competitive.

The Official 2025-26 NASCAR Offseason Discussion Thread

KBM and GMS have won 55% of truck races since 2016. KBM is sold, and GMS is shutting down.

That has to be the case. 3-4 weeks ago, I saw a thing with him where he was talking about running one full-time truck season after he retired, then splitting the next season with his kid before handing the whole team over to him. Busch is already good financially, but they had to absolutely...

Also, Boris Said is driving the Hendrick Xfinity entry at the Charlotte Roval.

Rajah Caruth will drive an HMS entry in the Xfinity Series at Phoenix. Huge opportunity for Caruth!

Some of the higher end Xfinity guys get "multi-year deals" that allow teams to move them up if they excel, but a lot of lower level drivers go on one-year contracts.

Apparently I should've started an Xfinity Series Silly Season chart, but with contract details for Cup drivers so hard to track down, Xfinity is even harder. Most of these guys are on year-to-year deals.

Bayne was supposed to race full time for JGR in 2023, but sponsorship fell through. I could see him landing there.

Jesus. Picking that Bears/Broncos game is like choosing between death by stabbing or shooting.

Pockrass also seems to think that Heim is gonna drop back down to the Truck Series. Furthering the speculation that Ty Gibbs won't let his grandpa work with any driver who he's ever had a problem with. Heim and Gibbs were major rivals in the ARCA series, and there's absolutely no convincing me...

Ya love to see it. Sammy is an interesting choice. Showed some speed early in the year, but had really struggled a lot in high-end equipment. He's young, so obviously Junior sees something there. I'm sure sponsorship also comes into play here.

Sammy Smith to the 8 car for JRM in Xfinity. Not the name I was expecting there.

That screen name with a Dick Trickle profile pic legit made me LOL! That'd be a big move if it comes through. Lots of questions, but I'm intrigued.

That would be wild. Who’s reporting it?!

Yea, I had Bubba in that one too LOL. Had Chastain, too, so my blinding bias paid off in that one. Larson and Blaney both wiping out hurt, though.

    Greetings!

Welcome, Tommy! I remember seeing your name over on the WC forum, too. Nice to see ya.

The meme thing obviously bit Noah in the ass, but it also came at a horrible time with John Hunter Nemechek having such a great season this year and Legacy switching to Toyota. Manufacturers decide more about driver lineups than teams do, and that was the perfect storm for him.

He'll get another shot. I think he takes a step back and goes Xfinity or Truck racing next year. Rehab the image a bit, rebuild some confidence, and then get another cup shot.
