    Stardom Discussion

And considering how good the IC title match was from what I heard, that must be big praise.

I'll probably watch Sakura Genesis if I have time this week since it seems like a great card, IWGP Women's match included.

FWA 'King of the Deathmatch, 2023' || Results.

Heck of a big return for both of the finalists. Oz shows when he's motivated, he's a touch SOB to beat, and same with Jeffry Mason. The latter also kind of means a touch to me since I learned a fair bit from him over the years and I guess he is a semi-mentor. Fair play to everyone involved and...

I know it is a not a one to one thing, but when I've been in e-feds, I tried my best to paid heel bullshit as that. Commentators can praise the ability, but hate the methods.

I think it was earlier in his reign. Though I'll admit I don't see ENOUGH where I know each defense.

He's won a mix of matches where he was dominant, and others where he cheats. Which I think is a decent-ish balance. As his reign has gotten longer, challengers come harder so he cheats more. That is good story telling. I'll give that. Though you need to be aware and point out "Hey, the babyface...

I think it is more in story telling, you need someone to latch on to. A hero. You kind of need some traits for a heel for the fans to latch onto and make them at least in that match, the hero. Be less detestable, have some sympathy, etc.

Oh, like the only "excuse" I have to justify him winning at Mania is if they make Jey be the one to beat him for the belt. That would symbolically be near-perfect as a way to end the feud. But at Mania, it hurt Cody. Felt like Lex. A loss at the wring time.

I think it is very HARD to do a good heel vs heel angle unless they make someone a defacto face during it or one heel is on their way to a face turn.

I think Hangman's storyline for his chase for the title was peak. I think what made it click for people was the fact he felt realistic as a character. His storyline was built a lot on him having insecurities, anxieties, and strained relationships with friends. Him finding friends in the Dark...

The only hope is that it doesn't drag on extra long. Since sometimes with AEW feuds (though mainly with the JAS...) they drag on longer than they should

With Cole and Hangman being the preferred options, Omega is an option since even as a former world champ, he was a heel champ and he is kind of Mr. AEW, so symbolically could work

I think, considering Eddie's in ROH right now, the best options to take the belt of MJF are Hangman, Omega, and Cole.

2023 Stanley Cup Playoff Prediction Pool

Funny thing is, if I predicted Tampa to beat Toronto, I probably would have won last year.
