Wasn't Shawn being groomed as one of their top faces around that time leading into Wrestlemania 12 though? Did he sell out arenas? Also didn't he draw low buyrates? Punk isn't a face he's still the top guy in the WWE isn't he?
He did draw I'll concede that but he was never a big draw you know? I mentioned WCW was on fire but even when it wasn't business was down I believe 95/ early 96. Wrestling took a hit and sadly HBK as the face takes the hit from it. It's like when Raw doesn't draw well in 2013 it's Punk's fault...
HBK was never that big a draw either brah, compare their rating to WCW at the time. Admittedly WCW was on fire but HBK never got the big numbers others did.
Cena is the top draw currently but he lost to Punk, Hogan was the top guy at WM 6 but he lost to Warrior. Guys lose brah, just because a guy has the strap doesn't mean he's the man.

Better Perfect? Shit Curt Henning, where the fuck does he go?
Bob wasn't a draw either that's why, maybe at his initial run but in the early 90s people didn't care enough to pay to see him. You can be great without being a monster draw but you can't be the greatest IMO.
Damn Video it killed the radio star :annoyed:
also if money was to be made out of it he would have done it on PPV bro, you know as well as I do that Vince is a money hungry slagbag.
Malenko was great as way Finlay, that wasn't a completed list there are loads of guys I've missed it was just the kind of guys I'd put in also it wasn't in order except for Misawa being #1.
So you have someone undercontract until the end of January but he needed to drop the title at a random house show in October because he was leaving even though he worked 2 further PPVs?
A fair way down in all honesty.

These are guys I'd put above him, in their prime they were all more enjoyable working the style IMO. It's great company for him to be in though.
Bullshit, Flair competed in the 93 Rumble why didn't he drop it then? Hell he even worked Survivor Series vs Perfect before leaving, he dropped the strap in October I think but stayed with the company until the end of January.

Why did they have him lose the title at a houseshow then? If people wanted to see him lose so badly why not put on PPV, Vince is a business man if Flair was drawing as a heel he'd have put the strap on Bret at a PPV.
