That’s life sometimes unfortunately. You can make that case for literally all the belts too, which is why UFC has the same design for all their belts and honestly, I just think that’s so boring aesthetically speaking.
To be honest, I thought that was dumb too. If you want to call the men’s champions men’s champions, you can do that, but they’re not both the NXT champion. This is why the UFC call their women’s champions by their weight class to differentiate.
I think things can be equal without being the same. As a branding guy I don’t like repeated designs. I just find it boring. Especially because if you really wanted to be equal, men’s title should say men’s champion as well and they don’t.
Carlos might not have started as a wrestling guy, but he does get some of the stuff and I think being front and center for this title versus title match really highlights the importance of this contest.
