    I do kinda like the theory you said that in some way or another, this whole conspiracy is just him coping with having to go back to this job. Kind of like a midlife crisis situation. With more layers I'd assume.

    Yeah I mean there's a good chance I'm reading into it too much, but my perception at that time was that he was legitimately struggling to accept the failure of the Jeep thing, and I guess I kind of extrapolated that maybe he had a bigger mental breakdown off screen than what that scene depicted...

    So it kinda felt like her realizing that he was backsliding into some kind of mental episode, but that obviously doesn't necessarily mean he's having delusions or whatever. It could just be a normal supportive statement for someone who's stressed. But it could have more meaning.

    In the flashback, the mom told the daughter they just had to tell him something like "I believe in you, I support you, yada yada" and then in the current timeline when he told his daughter about the whole conspiracy, she said the same exact phrase
