    The man is suffering from something, senility, dementia or both (And no, they are not the same thing). It's really obvious and even the people around him have to know it. And it's dangerous to let someone like that be in control of the most powerful military in the world.

    He was able to convince his voters that the insurrection attempt was a peaceful protest. EVEN THOUGH WE GODDAMN HAVE IT ON TAPE! He also pardoned those people for trying to overthrow the government, which was his way of telling them "If you do it again, you won't get in trouble."

    See, cancelling Colbert and now suspending Kimmel has given the man more confidence in his power and now he is working on consolidating it. If he can get what he wants so easily by threatening government action against people, then he basically can get anything that he wants.
