    Heels Discussion

First episode was solid, some good ideas. Also Amell was great, did a good job playing against type. But there were a lot of cliches too. It could have done with some lighter moments. I don't see it having the broad appeal of Glow. That was a show which works whether your a wrestling fan or...

    Cruel Summer (Freeform/Amazon)

Finished season one tonight. Thought it was excellent. Two great leads. Strong direction, and plotting. It subverts expectations along the way when it comes to characters and plots. The structure makes a lot of sense when you get into the flow. The finale was pretty satasfying. Not sure what...

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: RoboCop (13) vs Avengers: Infinity War (52) vs The Thing (20)

The remake isn't too bad actually. Worth watching at least.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: The Empire Strikes Back (4) vs The Day the Earth Stood Still (29)

Still haven't seen The Day the Earth Stood Still so won't vote on this one. Expect Empire to go far.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: Jurassic Park (5) vs Planet of the Apes (28)

Jurassic Park easy for me. Apes has just as bigger inflence. But as a film JP is better and was such a big part of my youth.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: Predator (9) vs Back to the Future Part II (24)

Find Predator a bit overrated. BTTF2 is a very strong sequel if not as good as the original.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: Inception (12) vs Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (44)

Spider-Verse partly suffers from being such a recent film. It already has a strong following, but overtime I think it could become seen as a classic.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1) vs Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (33)

Terminator 2 one of the greatest sequels ever. I would re-watch Bill & Ted more is the only thing. Fun movie.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (8) vs Escape from New York (25)

Escape from New York is good, but its still only mid-tier Carpenter for me (still better than 80% of other films). Wrath of Khan might be the best Trek film ever and everything I want from a Trek film.

Best Science Fiction Film Round 2a: RoboCop (13) vs Avengers: Infinity War (52) vs The Thing (20)

2 now! :mark: Not really a fan of Infinity War. Endgame was much better IMO. Both The Thing and Robocop are set in stone classics for me.

WON: Ric Flair Expected to Sign with AEW

Not surprised at this. I hear he's quite close to Khan. If they use him in a Sting style role then it should be fine and he'll add something. I'm not really up for a new version of the Horsemen it just feels like its time to move on from them. Maybe a one night tribute would fine.
