Urijah Faber wants Kid Yamamoto next, talks fighting TJ Dillashaw.

According to Urijah Faber it is.
  2. The Great Cochrane

UFC 178 books Tim Kennedy vs Yoel Romero.

He can definitely outlast Romero, like I said there's always a chance for someone to win. He does have the edge in cardio, but if he tries to out wrestle him then he's gonna likely gas himself out and it'll be a boring fight from there on out. It takes a lot more cardio to grapple then it does...

BJ Penn retires following third loss to Frankie Edgar.

I'm just sad because BJ along with Randy Couture, Matt Serra, and Matt Hughes were all on the very first card I ever saw when I was 10 years old. So it's almost like sentimental value. :(

Urijah Faber wants Kid Yamamoto next, talks fighting TJ Dillashaw.

It's MMA bro, anything can happen. Trust me  Everything looks like it can't on paper and then boom, something happens. Let's not forget Anderson losing to Weidman, Hendricks knocking out Fitch, or Dillashaw beating Barao. He's got a puncher's chance, and he's got a pretty hard...

UFC 178 books Tim Kennedy vs Yoel Romero.

LOL You really think that's gonna happen? Look at the size of Kennedy and look at the size of Romero... ain't gonna happen bro.
  6. The Great Cochrane

Urijah Faber wants Kid Yamamoto next, talks fighting TJ Dillashaw.

I disagree, Kid Yamamoto almost had Vaugh Lee until he was caught. He always shows up and puts on an exciting fight, it's reasons like that I said about Yoshihiro Akiyama in which you'd argue this. I see this being a pretty exciting fight myself.

UFC 176 cancelled following Jose Aldo's withdrawal.

I'm sure the UFC didn't want to spend as much money on renting out the Staples Center to put on Mousasi vs Jacare as a headliner. If it was a Fox Card I could see them doing so, but not a Pay Per View.

UFC inks former boxing champion Holly Holm for Fight contract.

UFC has hit the jackpot in signing former longtime boxing champion Holly Holm to the octagon. The former champion took to her facebook account to announce the signing. Holm recently defeated Juliana Werner for the Invicta FC Women's Bantamweight Championship with a Fifth Round TKO but broke...

Cat Zingano returns at UFC 178 against Amanda Nunes.

Holly Holm presents the most problems for Rousey on paper. She's light on her feet and over matches Rousey in the terms of hand speeds and reach, she can get in and out a lot quicker then somebody like Cyborg and not fall into Rousey's trap like I'm assuming Cyborg would (who more then likely...

Jim Miller: "Defeating Donald Cerrone keeps my career moving forward"

Jim Miller has never really defeated the upper echelon of the division. But interesting enough, his UFC record of 13-3 with 1 no contest gives him the most wins in the UFC's lightweight division, and that in itself is something not to be overlooked. And come UFC Fight Night 45, he'll be looking...

Dominick Cruz returns to action against Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178.

Yeah but the UFC also needs a good storyline to sell a fight also. And other then that there's no bigger story than the Cruz/Faber feud, I put that in my top feuds thread for a reason. But you do make a good point seeing as Cruz never did really lose the title.
  12. The Great Cochrane

Cat Zingano returns at UFC 178 against Amanda Nunes.

Dominick Cruz will not be the only fighter returning to the cage at UFC 178, as the UFC announced that "Alpha" Cat Zingano will finally make her return opposite Amanda Nunes on the card as well. Zingano hasn't fought since The Ultimate Finale 17 where she defeated Miesha Tate via TKO to claim...

UFC Fight Night 50 recieves Mousasi Vs Souza, Overeem vs Rothwell, & Mitrione vs Lewis

On September 5th 2014, the UFC will go head to head will Bellator with simultaneous Fight cards, and they've officially announced a headliner for that card as Gegard Mousasi will faced Ronaldo Jacare Souza in a rematch from Dream in 2008. But the announcement didn't stop there, they also...
  14. The Great Cochrane

Dominick Cruz returns to action against Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178.

If he does win the fight I would love to see him and Faber headline UFC on Fox 14 in Chicago. That would be huge, and a big money maker for the UFC.
  15. The Great Cochrane

UFC 176 cancelled following Jose Aldo's withdrawal.

As it turns out, fans excited about the upcoming UFC Featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes will have to wait, for UFC 176 has officially been cancelled following Jose Aldo's withdrawal due to a foot injury. UFC match makers Joe Silva and Sean Shelby were scrambling to...

Dominick Cruz returns to action against Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178.

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz will be making his long awaited return to the octagon after a near three year abscence, as news broke out that The Dominator has signed on to face Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178 in September in Las Vegas. Cruz was originally scheduled to meet Urijah...

Chael Sonnen faces $250,000 fine from NSAC

Chael Sonnen was released from the UFC and his position as an analyst from Fox Sports 1 following a second failed drug test that the NSAC conducted last week. But apparently for Sonnen not all the drama is ending there. MMAJunkie.com has reported that the Nevada State Athletic Commission has...

Frankie Edgar says Cub Swanson "makes sense for him".

Frankie Edgar solidified any doubt that he belonged on the top of the ladder with his win over BJ Penn in the main event at The Ultimate Finale 19 (well technically he did in the second fight). But from this point on, he wants to continue climbing and defeating the upper echelon of the...
