  1. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

    Okay...that's all I got.
  2. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Jack showed her the beats to play for the most part. I have a hard time believing she came up with those herself. Should I have said Lars instead?
  3. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

    What am I missing?
  4. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Perfect for the band is what I like to say about Ringo. Great swing style. We're getting a little hyperbolic with the compliments...he's no Buddy Rich or Gene Krupa, but I think the average person thinks he's closer to Meg White than he is to someone like Jim Keltner.
  5. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

They're there to keep time...if they JUST do that, then they're doing their jobs perfectly.
  6. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

    it is, but also true
  7. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Let's not get crazy. I'm not sure where "fancy" came from, but there are physical cans and can'ts. Ringo is very good at what he does, but he literally can't do a lot of things behind the drums. Remember, he wasn't even the best drummer in the band...he actually may not be playing in the song.
  8. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Usually anyone that disrespects Ringo as a drummer isn't a musician. He swings and it's his natural playing style, nothing forced. He might not be Bonham or Peart, but he's a lot better than most people think he is.
  9. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Did anyone hear the WTF with Marc Maron and Rick Rubin? Rubin tells this story that Tom Petty told him when they were making the first Traveling Wilburys album. “I have a funny story that Tom Petty told me. They were working on the Traveling Wilburys record and it was him, Bob Dylan, and George...
  10. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

    In like 2 years...
  11. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Something was the one that didn't get picked...my bad
  12. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

John was an asshole with an amazingly quick and cutting sense of humor
  13. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Nobody picked it for this though...LOL. Or I missed it in the Spotify list...LOL
  14. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Help! is such an upbeat song it distracts you from what the lyrics are telling you. One of my favorites
  15. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

Something like that...George wrote a solo for the song, but Eric took his idea and did Clapton things to it. George IMO wrote 3 of the Beatles most important songs...Guitar, Something and Here Comes the Sun. Lennon/Macca are great, but even they have to admit those three are as good or better...
  16. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

That's the thing...The Beatles made their "simple" music early on, but it's far more difficult than you'd think it is.
  17. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

They were trying to one up each other for the entire album. Then George brings in Guitar and shuts them both up...LOL
  18. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

That album was such a struggle for all of them. They were barely getting along and the egos were not even remotely allowing them to apologize, they had to stand their ground or lose their power within the group.
  19. BOTS V - Round 3 - Beatlemania

I think you spelled craptastic wrong, but that's okay.
