    Yeah, so if the old Coyotes owner can get an arena deal in place by 2029, then the NHL will reactivate the Coyotes as an expansion team

    And with that, the NHL lost patience, so the Utah Jazz Owner bought the team from the NHL (The NHL bought the team from the old owner, letting him keep the Arizona Coyotes branding etc) and now the team is going to be playing in Salt Lake City next year.

    A lot of issues. Biggest, the owner wasn't paying his bills for their old arena, so they were kicked out. The past two seasons they were playing at the Arizona State University arena, Mullet Arena.
