Spooky season is upon us with Halloween less than two months away. So, what are your favorite shows and movies to watch. It can anything from an R-Rated bloodbath to a Disney movie or anything in between.

My favorite movies are mostly in the middle of the spectrum. Beetlejuice, ET, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Gremlins, and Little Shop of Horrors. I'm also a fan of some of the campy B-movies such as Slay, Slotherhouse, The VelociPastor, and Killer Klowns From Outer Space.. The farthest down the horror line I go is X and Pearl.

For TV shows, a lot of them are year-round watches for me and some of my favorite shows, especially Supernatural, but also Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Wednesday, Legacies, Fringe, and I-Zombie. And, of course, The Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors.

I always make sure every Horror Season in October to watch all the Halloween Films, Hocus Pocus, and Halloweentown. I always try to add a new Movie or Series I've never watched before and I plan to hopefully carry that going into this Season.

Hocus Pocus- my wife and I have been going to Salem the past several years, are going back at the end of September and already have our rooms booked for next year when we will be staying during Halloween. We love watching this movie because the story is easy and fun but really because it was filmed at Salem and we enjoy seeing the spots we have been.

Halloween- just the original. I am 55 and if I put this on and am alone with the lights off, I can still get scared.

Trick R Treat- great pseudo anthology type film with different stories mixed together out of order that all tie together explaining some of the rules of Halloween and what happens if you break them.

Home Improvement and Roseanne Halloween episodes- some of the best Halloween episodes are found on these two series.

Nightmare Before Christmas- great, great movie with fun animation, great songs, great characters and an original story. Can watch this at the start of spooky season right up through Christmas.

That is dope. I've always been into Witches/Warlocks, Magic, and Witchcraft that would be a dream place to visit. I could tell some Stories of such things involving my Mother in that field interesting stuff:lol

The irony with Salem is that they killed 19 people for witchcraft trying to save their town from Satan. Today, because of this, Salem is a hot spot for Halloween and witches. Starting in late September they kick off Haunted Happenings which lasts until November. There is Halloween and witch themed stores all over. The local high school is the Salem Witches. the police department and fire department have witch patches on their uniforms and vehicles. Salem also has a large population of practicing wiccans. Pretty sure this wasn't what the elders of Salem had in mind.

And to keep this thread on topic, and I can't believe I forgot this one.

When I was a child up to my early teens my mother would always make popcorn (kernels microwave) and my sisters, and I would sit and get ready. the CBS Special Presentation symbol would spin across the screen, and we would be informed it was sponsored by Dolly Madison treats. If we missed it, we wouldn't get to see it again for a year as there was no streaming, DVDs or even VHS in the late 70s to very early 80s. And then it would start...

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown- from the opening scene where Lucy kills the pumpkin to the end when Linus swears next year, he will find the sincerest pumpkin patch this was must watch TV. From the opening title screen with the Peanuts gang being chased by ghosts and witches, through Snoopy's battle with the Red Baron and eventually rising up from the pumpkin patch we are taken on a joyful ride through a Halloween night. And tell me you have never uttered those fateful words, say it with me now...
