If it was like 1976 it probably would have been my favorite :lol

My decades preferences, roughly is like 70s > 90s > 2010s > 2000s > 80s with of course some genres being stronger in some eras than others... but being that the general vibe of the 80s appeals to me the least, late 70s clearly suffers from some of that spillover.

None of this is to say that this playlist wasn't great.

In the 80s in general? I mean I don't wanna speak in such broad terms but to me it's the most superficial/synthetic era of music until probably the mid-to-late 2010s up to today. Disco, hair metal and synth pop are all fine but none of them are really my favorite subgenres and as always it depends on who's doing it and how much they're putting into it. My second choice for song was a Bee Gees joint.

I didn't say it was all hair metal was about or that it's exclusively hair metal problem. I'm just differentiating the idea of being offended by art that reflected social norms of a time with a disinterest in listening to songs with pedophilic lyrics. Nothing personal, nothing deeper than that
