WWF Superstars of Wrestling
November 7th, 1987
Syracuse, NY

TONIGHT; HART FOUNDATION VS STRIKE FORCE FOR THE TAG TITLES.

Match#1 Jake Roberts vs Rip Oliver
Jake is back in our lives and has 2 minutes instead of 4, so this fucking rocks. Great arm work and knees and elbows to Rip, and it's my jam as you well know. Jake takes his head off with the short arm, but he falls back into the ropes and is tied up. The jobber runs at him, BUT JAKE GETS FREE AND HITS HE DDT OUT OF NOWHERE TO WIN.
**

Post match, Jake drapes Damien onto the kid

Craig Interviews-
-Hack is the guest and he has the robe and crown. HOOOOOOOOO
-He's sick and tired of Race thinking he's better than everyone when they don't have kings in America, and he's keeping this away from him.
-Bobby walks out and gets in his face and calls him a thief, AND RACE SNEAKS UP FROM BEHIND AND CRACKS HIM WITH THE 2X4 ACROSS THE BACK. BOBBY HOLD HACK AS RACE HITS HIM AGAIN. BOBBY KICKS HIM OFF THE STAGE TO THE FLOOR. RACE HITS HIM OVER AND OVER IN THE STOMACH AND RAMS IT DOWN INTO HIS THROAT. BOBBY GIVES HARLEY HIS CROWN AND ROBE BACK.

Match#2 King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan & Andre The Giant vs Pete Lucic
50 seconds of Bundy clubbing and cracking the kid. He hits a running Elbow to win.
1/4*

Post match, Andre's entire team comes out to stand at ringside and celebrate.

Recap of Demo's insane beatdown from last week.

Match#3 Billy Jack Haynes & Ken Patera vs Ray Miller & Terry Gibbs
60 seconds of angry and actual good work from the fellas they're all pissy and mad and take it out on the kids. Fuji has a cut in laughing and says Demo will do whatever he says. Ken wins with the Bearhug.
*

Mean Gene-
sddefault.jpg

-Hogan is ready to rage war with his back against the wall and he's not alone. He's got a beast from the East to have his back, and he's not running or using speed, they'll go nose to nose and play their game. Can you imagine. if let all 5 of of em lose.
-Bam screams his dad taught him to fight and he's a survivor and they will survive and fight, baby,

Match#4 Killer Khan w/Mr Fuji vs Curt Hoffman
Vile trash like always. Knee does it and that's all he's getting because fuck this clown.
1/2*

Craig Interviews-
-Randy and Liz make their way out with the entire team. Really nice to see Steamer after months away because of that darn kid
-Randy says they are the kids of hard knocks and they can get it done. -
-He and Ricky have gone nose to nose and sweated against each other until they couldn't sweat anymore. Ricky will breath fire at Survivor Series
-Jake might do it for money, but his only currency is flesh and bones.
-Hacksaw doesn't see too well, but point him in the right direction and he will hit a grand slam with that 2x4
-Brutus can lean on people, but the intimidation of humiliation could be the coupe de grace of the Survivor Series.

Sam Houston kicked Danny's butt, and he's hoping to kick more behind in the WWF.

https://www.sapo.pt/video/jVN2hZj55o8jDuRb1CZm

in the back, Jimmy hypes HF up and tells them to prove they're the greatest.

Match#5 The Hart Foundation (c) w/Jimmy Hart vs Strike Force (WWF World Tag Team Championships)
Jesse is in shock the titles are being defend on TV as he's never heard of such a thing. Bret and Martel fight first and holy shit is it perfect as perfect can be. SF double team him and grind him down, and its nuts it's taken this long for them to meet because goddamn. Anvil uses his muscle to try and change the tide, but Tito fights back and cracks him, but Bret gets a knee to the back to knock him down and isolate him. They cripple his back with knees to it, and Jesse points out how smart Bret is for doing just that. Like, he's an Excellence of Execution or something. Anvil beats the shit out of Tito as well, and it's a fantastic control seg as HF finally get loose after some pretty bad booking over the last few months. They throw Tito to the floor, and Bret drops a knee off the apron onto the back to mess him up worse. Bret leads the charge and bashes the hell out of him in one of the best things he's done on TV, and Tito dies on everything. The crowd is white hot for him and cheers like crazy for him to fight back, and he finally hurls Bret into the buckles to drop him. MARTEL GETS IN AND GOES FUCKING NUTS WITH PUNCHES ON ANVIL AND A BIG DROPKICK AND HE DROPS BRET AS WELL, AND HE'S SO FULL OF FIRE AND HEART. Rick hits a stunning crossbody off the top, but Bret takes his head off with an elbow, but SF won't die and work together to get rid of Bret, AND MARTEL GETS ANVIL IN THE BOSTON CRAB AND THE BIG MAN QUITS AND WE HAVE NEW CHAMPIONS. FUCK YES.
***1/4

Post match, the crowd comes unglued for the boys and it's one of the loudest pops i've ever heard.

strike-force-wwe-tag-team-championship.jpg

In the back, all the babyfaces party with Strike Force. Tito says he knew they needed to do it tonight and he's so proud and happy.

Next week; SBG vs Reed.

WF BOSTON-7/11

Bam Bam Bieglow w/Oliver Humperdink vs Killer Khan w/Mr Fuji
Yeah, i know i said i was done, but man i can't not watch something as weird and quirky as this. They walk around and stare at each other for a while before Khan hits his really bad and weak looking shots as he's really done with life, and poor BBB is forced to sell shots are missing by inches in some cases. BBB finally gets to fight back and eats this dweeb alive with his cool shit, and looks like the BITW compared to Khan. Bammer wins with a running Splash. Awful match, but a nice showing for Bammer at least.
1/2*

Honky Tonk Man (c) w/Jimmy Hart vs Randy Savage w/Miss ELizabeth (WWF Intercontiental Championship)

Randy is mad once more and fights him on the outside again and it's a great beating as HTM is the perfect pinball for all of Savage's offence and insane behaviour. Jimmy again distracts Savage to let HTM take over, and we get another really good control seg as HTM has gone from a nothing to a super solid pro wrestler in the span of the last few months. HE HITS THE SRR AND RANDY KICKS OUT. OH SHIT. HTM is really mad now and beats the crap out of him, but he can't help but stooge and dance towards Liz and it costs him as Randy comes to life and kicks his ass for messing with her. Randy unloads an wild fired up beating, but he smacks heads with HTM and falls out of the ring to the hardwood floor. Jimmy jumps on his back and stops him from getting in. Randy drops him, but he doesn't get back in time and is counted out.
**1/2

Post match, Randy fights them both off and poses with Liz.

In the back, Ax says Fuji is mad at them for not taking BJH and Ken out of wrestling for goof, and he has demanded they finish the job. Smash says Fuji has trained them to break bones and they are here to destroy everyone in their way.

Demolition w/Mr Fuji vs Billy Jack Haynes & Ken Patera
The faces show some guts by jumping them first and taking the fight right to them, and it's very good as they're hitting hard and showing honest to goodness fire. Fuji trips BJH, and Ax smacks him with a lariat to take over, and we get a sick Demo control seg. They club and smash the piss out of this goofy bastard, and it's a ton of fun watching him eat well deserved shit. Ken tags in on a blind tag, but he gets beat to shit as well in a wonderful moment because fuck him as well. Good work on him, and BJH has a fine hot tag throwing some nice looking punches to the fellas. He gets Ax in the Full Nelson, but Fuji smacks him in the head for the DQ.
**

Strike Force (c) vs The Islanders (WWF World Tag Team Championships-Two Referees)
Slow start for once as neither team wants to make a mistake with so much on the line, and it's a nice change of pace watching Martel and Haku go toe to toe without going insane right away. Rick ramps up the speed first and the boys double team them and make fools out of them with crazy speed. The Islanders re-group and shove Tito into the corner and beat the crap out of him to isolate him. Wonderful beating as always as now they're not just pissed, but they want the belts so the beating is even more focused on destroying our beloved hero with everything they've got. The second ref keeps Martel from getting involved a few times, so Tito is beaten for even longer than normal as there's no chance of a save coming. They grind him down on the mat and bash his neck with nasty looking shots and holds, and Tito's selling is fantastic as hell. Haku throws him to the ground and Tito is beaten down by Tama to make it a little worse, and his woozy selling is goddamn spectacular. Tito finally manages to duck a kick and Tama eats it, AND MARTEL GETS THE HOT TAG AND GOES NUTS ON THEM WITH BACKDROPS AND PUNCHES, AND HE SENDS THEM INTO EACH OTHER AND DOESN'T LET UP FOR A MOMENT. HE THROWS TAMA INTO THE FOREARM, BUT HAKU SAVES AT THE LAST SECOND. TITO GETS RID OPF HIM, AND MARTEL GRABS TAMA IN A CRADLE TO WIN.

I adore this feud so much.

Strike Force (c) vs The Islanders (WWF World Tag Team Championships-Two Referees-Spectrum 7/11)
When a feud is THIS hot along with your company as a hold, you can run it twice in the same day and everyone will say "Hell yeah" Same wonderful opening as always as the routine is down pact and they aren't missing any time soon. The champs batter the challengers with the speed and brutal force of their strikes, and the Islanders take insane bumps on everything. Tito finally gets jumped from behind in the corner with punches and kicks to the body and head, and the fellas go to work with another killer control seg beating the life out of him. The second ref again keeps Martel away from saving, so the boys get even longer to hurt Tito without being stopped, and Martel gets more and more fired up as it goes on. The Islanders miss a kick and brain the other, and Martel gets in and goes apeshit on them like earlier and it's SO fucking great and wonderful. Haku again saves on the Foream, and a massive brawl breaks out and both refs get shoved for the double DQ in a new ending

Tonight; Bulldogs vs Dream Team

Match#1 Bam Bam Bigelow w/Oliver Humperdink vs Terry Gibbs
Another fun 90 seconds of Bammer doing crazy stuff for his size, and cleaning some clocks when he gets a chance. Slingshot Splash ends it.
*

WWF Update-
-Demo blame BJH and Patera for getting involved in this fight, and they will demolish them for Fuji

Match#2 The Ultimate Warrior vs Barry Horowitz
Barry puts his working boots on with big bumps all over the place for Warrior's fine offence, and it's a blast. Warrior has a cut in talking about earthquakes following him around, and Bobby is confused. Press Slam and Splash ends it.
*

Mean Gene-
-Gena talks about Randy having bitter hatred for HTM, and Randy confirms he does indeed hate him.
-He's been imaging all the things he can do to him after touching Liz, and he will NEVER forget about it.
-He's going to hurt HTM and put the spark back in her eyes as he makes him suffer along with his team. This will be her rehab, yeah dig it.

In a pre-tape, DiBiase talks about Steele getting lost instead of showing up to fight him, and he likes that as it means more money for him.

Match#3 The British Bulldogs vs The New Dream Team w/Johnny V
Good 3 minutes as the Dogs and Hammer are magic again even with all the miles on them, and i wish Hammer had an actual good wrestler next to him to make this better. Dino is awful with everything he does, so of course he gets a lot of offence in on DK and looks like an absolute bum in the process. The Dogs fight back, so V attacks for the DQ. Blurrughirtehf. Fuck off.
*3/4

Match#4 The Islanders vs SD Jones & Jerry Allen

Good lord, another 2 minute amazing squash for the fellas as they're just the best and no one can fuck with them. SD eats a ton of shit for once, and it's great because he's old and awful and deserves it. Tama wins with his all time Superfly Splash.
**

Craig Interviews-
-They replay HTM and Jimmy's interview from a few weeks ago.

Match#5 Butch Reed w/Slick vs Omar Atlas
A minute of Reed belting the piss out of this dork and winning with a Lariat.
*

They replay SF winning the titles in full.

Tonight; Butch vs SBG.

Match#1 Bam Bam Bigelow w/Oliver Humperdink vs Gino Carobello
Vince lets out a classic "OH MY" when Bammer walks out, so you know he's proper in love. Bam gets over a minute to do his thing and it's rad again, but he needs more time to do cool shit. Slingshot ends it.
*

Craig Interviews-
-Andre's entire team is on the stage with Bobby and Slick.
-Bobby hypes them all up and is shocked that anyone thinks they can possibly lose this.
-Bobby says after Hogan gets done with hiding behind his partners like a turkey, he's going to have his hands full with Andre. He brings out a Hogan stretch doll, and he and Slick stretch it to show how bad he's going to get beaten by these monsters.

We get a hype video for Brutus doing his thing.

Match#2 The Bolsheviks w/Slick vs Mario Mancini & Jerry Allen
Vile dogshit once more as this Boris dude is the drizzling piss, and Nik is maybe the laziest and most washed dude in the world at this point. Boris wins with his terrible headbutt.
POOP

Craig interviews-
-Craig is doing the backstage interview
-Jimmy is the guest and says nothing new or important.
-HTM also says nothing new

They recap SF winning the titles.

Match#3 Paul Orndorff w/Oliver Humperdink vs Carmine Surace
Wonderful gets 2 minutes and change to do his thing as his body is cooked for the most part, but the spirit is very willing and it mostly works out well. Piledriver ends it after Wonderful kicks the shit out of this dweeb.
*1/2

Mean Gene-
-Jimmy has Bass, HTM and Davis with him.
-HTM says Bass is bringing Betsy with him to whip and rip the skin and tie them to the ringpost so Randy is all along, daddy.
-Davis tries to say they will leave Randy to last, but he fucks it up and says they'll get rid of him first and then says HTM will take him last. Fucking clown.
-Bass is coming after everyone because he hates them all, and Betsy wants to play.

We get pre-tapes from Houston and Davis calling for a rematch that no one could possibly want, or care about.

Match#4 The Ultimate Warrior vs Steve Lombardi
Warrior gets another all time jobber to carry him for 2 minutes with big bumps and funny stooging, and Warrior looks good by default. Warrior has a cut in saying he's going to bust the door down instead of knocking on it. Warrior hits his good shoulder block and then the combo to win.
*3/4

Craig Interviews-
-Ted and Virgil come out on the stage with the basketball and its time for the most evil thing Ted has ever done.

Match#5 Don Muraco vs Dave Wagner
Don runs right through this joker in 45 seconds and wins with the Tombstone.
Fuck Yeah.

Match#6 Butch Reed w/Slick vs Superstar Bill Graham

Butch jumps this old bag of piss right away and targets the bad hip with wonderful mean work, AND HE HITS WITH A CHAIR AS SLICK DISTRACTS THE REF. He stay on it and further cripples him, and it's fantastic stuff. Sadly, the old man fights back and doesn't sell a goddamn thing. He attacks Slick, but OMG makes the save for the DQ
3/4*

OMG BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF HIM AND LAYS HIM OUT WITH 4 AMAZING SPLASHES, AND DON MURACO MAKES THE SAVE AND HITS EVERYONE WITH SLICK'S CANE. HOLY SHIT YEAH. The old man is loaded on the gurney as Don and Butch have a sick fight on the outside. OMG RUNS BACK AND SPLASHES SBG ON THE FLOOR ONCE MORE. WOOOO KILL HIM. Slick finally gets them away and they leave. Amazing stuff, and in even better news that was the last ever SBG match we have to suffer. Fuck off and die.

Craig Interviews-
-Randy is one half of the Mega Powers and he's got some power of the universe saved up for HTM in Boston. He's going to leave with HTM laying and take the IC title and the women's title off Sheri as well. He will walk all roots as he knows they're coming after him and Liz, and he doesn't need or want to know anything as this will be a hell of a Macho Madness night.

At ringside, the old man is taken away as Vince says this might be the last time we ever see him.

NEXT WEEK HTM VS RICK

-Ricky screams that HTM thinks he's big time by pushing around women, but next week he's going to be the one pushed down.
-HTM has a special tune picked out for Dragon next week.
