APOKOLIPS CASTINGS CONFIRMED
Following the Justice League sequel, a series of new characters have been confirmed to be appearing across the DC Extended Universe. Many of these castings were kept under wraps with shocking cameos and appearances in the last Justice League as we met many of the followers of Darkseid. We can now reveal the first wave of Darkseid's followers.
Lars Mikkelsen as Desaad
Described as a sadist and a noted torturer. Desaad is very much the right hand to Darkseid and acts as his chief counsel. While he may have this hgih ranking position, it is said that Desaad is far from respected by many of his fellow Apokolips natives.
Kathy Bates as Granny Goodness
A long time resident of Apokolips and one of Darkseid's most formidable lieutenants. Granny Goodness is tasked with the recruitment and training of many of Apokolips' future soldiers. On top of this she is the head of Darkseid's Female Furies.
Stephen Lang as Steppenwolf
The uncle of Darkseid and the general of many of Darkseid's armies. Steppenwolf is a trusted member of Darkseid's army and one of his most experienced warriors.
Raghav Juyal as Mantis
One of the bug people of Apokolips. The lowly Mantis was at one stage described as a devout follower and slave of Darkseid. This would be until Darkseid would give Mantis several gifts to make him the leader of the Bugs and bring them all under his command.
Sasha Calle as Big Barda
One of the Female Furies who has been described as one of Apokolips most formidable warriors. From a young age Barda has been mentored and raised by Granny Goodness who sees potential in Barda to act as her personal sucessor.
Carrie Coon as Bernadeth
The sister of Desaad and the second in command to Granny Goodness. Bernadeth is described as someone who wants a lot more than she has been given. Believing herself worthy of being in command, while Bernadeth and Granny Goodness may have worked together for a long time, there is now some discension in the ranks.
Emma Dumont as Grail
The daughter of Darkseid, Grail is described of unknown origin but it is said that she is kept under close watch by Darkseid and his trusted allies. This has led to a less than harmonious relationship between Darkseid and his daughter.
Courtney Cox as Bloody Mary
A member of Darkseid's Female Furies, Bloody Mary is described as a sadistic energy vampire who loathes physical contact. It is said that Bloody Mary will kill anyone who touches her even if they apart of her own team.
Oliver Richter as Rip Roar
One of the more physically imposing and powerful subjects of Darkseid. It is said that Rip Roar while physically imposing isn't the highest regarded member of Darkseid's faction. This is thanks in part to his limited intelligence.
Peter Mullan as Cyborg 87
A member of Darkseid's elite guard, Cyborg 87's peronal mission as of late is to act as a servant of Desaad. Cyborg 87 is a powerful force of machinery who loyally follows orders without question.
Valentina Shevchenko as Stompa
A new addition to the Female Furies, Stompa is described as one of the most powerful residents of Apokolips. Known for her brute force, Stompa is described as a personal favorite of Granny Goodness thanks to her unwavering loyalty.
Olivia Holt as Mad Harriet
A cackling mad woman who wields a pair of energy claws. Mad Harriet is perhaps one of the more terrifying members of the group thanks to her love of pain. Described as a real wildcard, Mad Harriet is looked down upon by many of the other Female Furies.
Kathryn Winnick as Lashina
A strong and versatile killer who was personally raised by Granny Goodness herself. Lashina was a long serving member of Darkseid's army before she would be recruited into Granny Goodness' Female Furies squad of assassins.
Rihanna as Maelstrom
A low level member of Darkseid's army who is believed to be madly in love with her leader. Maelstrom is someone who deeply covets the attention of Darkseid and will do anything she has to in order to get it.
Takehiro Hira as Kanto
A member of Darkseid's elite and one of Darkseid's most formidable assassins. An expert organizer and strategist, Kanto's tactics are only second to Darkseid himself on Apokolips. As a reward for his duties Kanto has received his own troop of soldiers to command for a death squad.
Gong Yoo as Virman Vundabar
A proud and loyal member of Darkseid's Elite. Virman was personally raised in an orphanage by Granny Goodness which has shaped him to become who he is today. Vundabar is said to have developed a love for military precision and efficiency, and adopted the mode of dress, mannerisms, and lifestyle of the military leaders as he acted as the first contact for the Intergang.
