I think my dislike for the zombies in remakes comes from the fact they're feral animals rather than just soulless husks.

The Re1 remake was great, and when they put it on the GameCube, it was a masterful way of showing how great the cube could really be. It was spectacular.

I'm also mad about selling my copy of RE2 for the N64 back in 2002. Apparently, it's not very common, and I could fetch a pretty penny for it.

The OG zombies were just unfortunate people that were infected and slowly decayed, their brains rotting, only able to moan in pain, unable to control their bodies, trapped in a living hell.
