WWE Intercontinental Championship: Carlito vs. Ric Flair
So Flair is now a face after Hunter got injured in that HIAC match back in July, and I think this is part of Flair’s angle where he’s trying to get Carlito to show him respect and that Carlito shows no respect to the business. Some real terrible mat work by Flair early on as all his counters look awful which is a given seeing how old he is, Flair looks like Flair grandfather. The match does eventually pick up when Carlito begins to bump hard for him, as Flair plays his “old man dirtiest player in the game role” At one point, Flair goes for the Figure-Four but Carlito kicks him to the floor, before hanging his arm off on the ropes and begins to work over it. Flair doesn’t bother selling it so that was upsetting. He does make a typical Flair comeback, chops kicks before heading up top and he does actually hit the move up to a huge pop and Flair pop’s like he won the world tile

Backstage: Lita and her hotness is with Edge, Lita talks about how much she use to tell Matt how much se loved him when se use to phone him. Edge then says remember when Matt use to phone him after and he would roll over to pick it up

Victoria & Torrie Wilson (w/Candice Michelle & Little Puppy) vs. Trish Stratus & Ashley Massaro
JR wonders what that dog is doing in the ring and Lawler comes back with don’t talk about those girls like that

Backstage: Flair with hit IC Title, Champagne and all the girls go into his limo as Flair makes out with one of them. He then pulls out a bottle of Viagra and takes a few I LOVE THIS FUCKIN’ GUY! He then looks in the limo sees the girls and pops some more. I LOVE THIS FUCKIN’ GUY!
Big Show vs. Snitsky
These two go right at it with Show beating him and throwing him all around the ring. Snitsky tries to run but Show doesn’t let him get far before chopping the shit out of him. Show then shoves him up against the ringpost but when he comes charging in Snitsky moves and Show collides with it. He begins to work over it and it’s not bad but it not great either, Show’s selling of it was great. I liked that Show busted out some new moves and used his other arm when doing so. At one point before his comeback show kipped-up but he had to hold the top rope so it looked awful but still

Backstage: We come back to Ric Flair’s limo, which literally has steam coming out of it

Shelton Benjamin vs. Kerwin White
Before the match Kerwin takes off his sweater and hangs it up on a hanger on the ropes

Backstage: Todd Grisham interviews Matt Hardy, Matt calls her a bitch and says he gave Lita everything he is and slept with his best friend and got him fired. Todd asks if he still has feeling for her and Matt says the only thing he cares about is making sure Edge can’t walk out of that cage tonight.
Steel Cage Match: Matt Hardy vs. Edge (w/Lita)
So yeah, this still owns a lot. Tons of HATE! Early on as its all stiff strikes, Matt’s punches are up there with some of the best I’ve ever seen here. I love that after those right hands Edge tries at all cost to run but Matt tries to wear him down with holds but their hat holds so whenever he had the headlock applied he would rake the face or something like that. They go back and forth for a while with Matt getting the better as he signals for the end, he tries the twist of fate but Edge shoves him into the cage and connects with the Edge-O-Matic. Be begins to climb bout but Matt meets him up and Edge begins to bang the back of Matt’s head into the cage shoving him to the floor. He then connects with a missile dropkick to the back of the head as Matt sells it beautifully, Edge begins to get aggressive and begins to pound and beat the holly hell out of the back of Matt’s head, he even mocks the fans with a V1 sign. He slams Hardy’s head into the turnbuckle and kicks at his head viciously, before hitting a DDT and powerbombs him into the cage and turnbuckles, AWESOME! I love that now that Edge is in control he’s doesn’t feel the need to exit the cage instead he’s just happy beating the life and fight out of Matt. Some of these straight boots are sick, Matt tires to climb out of desperation but Edge cuts him off and powerbombs him to the mat off the top. He covers Matt but only gets two, Edge the realizes that he can’t beat him so he tries to leave but Matt grabs the ankle and Edge begins to punch away at him but he get snake eyed onto the top buckle. Edge then tries a spear but Matt sidesteps him and connects with the side-effect for two. Edge begins to crawl out the door but Matt dives at his legs stopping him. Lita throws in the case and Edge misses and swings which allows Matt to make an insanely hot comeback as he slingshot Edge into the cage and bulldog’s Edge into the case. Matt then throws Edge into all 4 braces of the cage busting him open as Lita tries to climb the cage. Matt sees the blood and starts doing what Edge did to him with straight kicks to the face

Backstage: John Cena is getting is ankle tapped up when Eric Bischoff walks in, he tells Cena he will need a lot more tape then that after tonight. He says he hopes Kurt finishes the job tonight. Cena covers his mouth with tape

AMAZING SHOT OF EDGE CRAWLING TO BACK SHOVING REFS AWAY

WWE World Tag Team Championship: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. The Hurricane & Rosey
EWWWWW! Edge’s blood is still in the ring, that’s how people get aids C’MON WWE as much as I don’t like anyone in this ring I don’t want them to get hepatitis. The country boys get the better early on as we get a few comedy spots from the champs to take these hillbillies off their game. Greatest spot of this match is Murdoch trying to headbutt Roesy but you can’t headbutt a Samoam so he knocks himself out, the bums begin to take over as Murdoch ask Lillian to give him a kiss but Hurricane makes the save. He then jumps under the buckles but Murdoch catches him and absolutely kills him with a DDT. This leads to the bums isolating Roesy some more as trainers come out to check on a knocked out Hurricane, Hurricane decides to play the hero and Rosey takes the tag, Hurricane hits a flurry of punches, but gets hit with the Hi and Lo out of nowhere and the Hillbillies win the match. The booking was here but Murdoch and Cade didn’t know what to do with it, when the highlight of the isolation is a neckbreaker something is wrong. Hurricane’s selling was phenomenal though. *1/2
Pin the parking lot; One of Flair’s woman takes a break to catch her breath, while wearing Flair’s robe, before coming back in.
Backstage: A adorable and young Maria interviews Chris Masters, she wonders why people call him the “Masturbate”

Chris Masters vs. Shawn Michaels
While Shawn does his taunt, so Masters jumps him and puts him in the Masterlock before the match even starts

In the parking lot; the woman exit Flair limo all worn out as we get a shot of Flair backing out with his pants half way down, he downs the champagne and tries to WOOOOOO! But collapses

WWE Championship: Kurt Angle vs. John Cena
Kurt out wrestles him early on but once Cena comes back with a weird hip-toss he heads to the floor to hype himself up. Once he gets back in he takes Cena to the ground and wrestles circles around him. But every once in a while Cena would use a big shoulder tackle and Kurt would retreats in shock. On the third one when Kurt comes back into the ring he tries to brawl with Cena but again that doesn’t work ‘cause that’s Cena’s game. Well the brawling allows Cena to control the match, but out of desperation he hits a German allows Kurt to take over again. Kurt’s offense is directed at the head and neck, man this is like 2012 Kurt all Germans, Belly-to-bellies with the occasional mover here and there. Kurt’s gameplan is built to ground and pound Cena, but every now and then Cena would fight back breaking the hold. Kurt starts moving into more strikes as per his more recent style, but whenever he's in trouble, he goes to mat work and Suplexes. That lasts for a good while until Cena has his comeback before attempting the FU but Kurt counters into the Ankle lock but Cena fights out and hits a spinebuster for two. Cena again goes for the FU but Kurt counters into the Angle Slam for two. After 15+ minutes Kurt goes for the Ankle lock but Cena kicks him off and hits the side slam followed by the 5 knuckle shuffle for two. Kurt takes out the ref on a clothesline and Cena hits him with the FU but no ref, so he tries to wake him up. Cena gets this look on his face before picking Kurt up again but Kurt low blows him and grabs the medal. He wraps it around his fist and KO’s Cena with it before dropping a knee to the injured ankle. Kurt applies the Ankle lock as Eric runs down and gets into Cena’s face, he tells Kurt to pull him back as Cena reaches the ropes but when he grabs the ropes Eric kicks his hand breaking it. Eric then tells the ref to ring the bell but Cena rolls through sending Kurt into Eric sending him down to the floor. Cena then picks up the belt and hits Kurt with it for a DQ. Post-Match: Eric gets on the mic and says he doesn't care what the rules are on a DQ, and Cena cannot get the belt. He yells at the ref not to give it to him, so Cena hits Eric with the FU. Angle attacks Cena post-match, and beats him up on the floor before trying the Angle Slam through the announce table, but Cena slips out, and hits him with the FU through the announce table as the show goes off the air. I didn’t really get the match, it was built as Cena having a messed up Ankle but Kurt didn’t target it until 3 minutes left in the match. DA FUCK! **3/4
