Jan. 30th ROH returns to Detroit and the next night they invade Chicago for another PPV.

Only matches signed thus far for Chicago is a steel cage warfare with Roddy, Brent + Erick Stevens (most likely Richards, Edwards, and Pearce or Hero or GO)

What do you guys think the main event will be??

Austin Aries is the #1 contender, but Jerry Lynn demands a title shot.

There are quite a few possible Main Events, you could have Jerry Lynn Vs Austin Aries where the win gets the next title shot or something having Aries put his #1 spot on the line or it will by Lynn Vs Nigel for the title leaving Aries to fight Tyler Black after what happened at the PPV. Then you could have Nigel Vs Aries and Lynn will have to earn his title shot against someone. Any of those could be but I am not to sure...

Aries and Lynn both get a title shot on PPV, and we get a triple threat. As for the Steel Cage Warfare... I just can't get excited over that match, due to the fact that we had one just a couple of months ago.

Well, i think they listened to you SP, cause now its 5 on 5 and main eventing caged collision (poor name) To me, makes this a lot more interesting.. With the latest Newswire, it looks like Claudio may be joining Sweet n Sour.

Also with the Detroit show, The American Wolves will take on Steenerico.

If it brings back the Kings of Wrestling, then I'm all for it.

I agree, Hero is schedule until the 25th in Japan, but wanted to stay and train and train a few extra weeks. So who knows.

I can't wait to see Kings of Wrestling vs. Steenerico. One of the last big tag matches left for Steenerico.

Do you guys think 7th yr Anniversary will be in Philly? For some reason the latest newswire is still leaving that up in the air. I think 7th yr should be Philly and then maybe next Hammerstein show could be a PPV taping.

Well....I'm a little more for "spreading the love" I think ROH should put some big shows in Boston, Detroit, Ohio. I see why they don't, but thats just my opinion.

I think the anniversary show will be philly. Makes sense to me.

I agree with you however for selfish reasons I want the big shows to stay in the northeast :)

The Detroit show is looking alright so far, Montana, your predictions were quite off by the looks of things. Here's the current card and who's also going to be there:

World Tag Team Title Match
Kevin Steen & El Generico defend vs. The American Wolves of Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards with Larry Sweeney

Special Challenge Match
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright

First Time Ever
Bryan Danielson vs. Rhett Titus

"French Connection" Rematch
The Necro Butcher vs. Brodie Lee

Also scheduled to appear:
-ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness
-Jay Briscoe
-Roderick Strong
-Erick Stevens
-Delirious
Plus much more to be announced!!!

I think Roddy Strong will be teaming with Jay Briscoe again against probably Eric Stevens and someone, not really sure about the rest of the matches to come though. "Caged Collision" in Chicago is looking alright, the only match I would watch from the current card would have to be the steel cage war, also not sure what the rest of the card will be like but it should be good imo.

Strong and Stevens has signed a open contract to face any team in a warm up match. I see Delirous and Jacobs don't have a match left. Unless they just want to throw some students or local talent at them.

yeah, I can't say i even liked my card for Detroit.

But as i said in the results thread i believe. Detroit HAS to get a big title match or main event, with how poor the show looks. Steenerico vs American Wolves is certainly not a main event match. It would have opened most shows the past year. In fact all four matches are just about opening/throwaway matches. It boggles my mind how Detroit goes from a PPV to this. (after a 7 month layoff, due to not being able to book the arena the weekend they wanted) I guess i'm just not impressed with Steenerico vs. American Wolves. Yeah they are shoving them down our throats, but they just won their first matches. Oddly enough, The American Wolves could even win the tag belts. Even though, there really isn't anything to get excited about.

It will be intersting to see what the attendence will be like. Suprisingly the first 3 rows have already sold out. Generally ROH sells a lot of GA tickets prior and at the door they fill up the floor seats. With Tag Wars and New Horizons attendence was close to 1000. Probably more in the 800-900 range. But Tag Wars had motorcity machine guns and IBushi to help sell tickets, and New Horizons was the first saturday show and PPV. So that gave the fans a reason to go.

THe Chicago card will also be interesting imo. I don't know why they booked the big SnS blowoff in Jan when Chris Hero is out. Go Shoizaki hasnt been signed for the event yet. Adam Pearce hasn't been on TV for months. So idk how SNS plans to have 5 people on its team. I guess best case scenario would be: Richards, Edwards, Pearce, Sweeney, Dempsey, although there is talk of Sara Del ray being in the match. I would think Austin Aries would cash in his shot here, since its not a "B" show. Tyler Black has a lot of mementum with the time limit draw. I'd also like to see Dragon vs. Claudio in a match. (although i believe they've hinted at Cluadio vs. Steen)

These are going to be two tough cards to book with the talent left. I dont think Chicago is going to look that great either (for a ppv). But we will have to wait and see.

Totally agree with this on you, but I still get the feeling that this match will end up being much better than expected.

As for the rest of the Detroit card... Yeah, it doesn't look that good. If they give them some time (And avoid a DQ finish like in The French Connection), Necro vs Brodie could be one hell of a brawl. I don't see Claudio's and Albright's style meshing with one another, and Danielson vs Titus is what it is.

There's still a chance for a good match at the Detroit show, Montana. I know there's a PPV the next night, but you might end up with a four-way match (Nigel vs Black vs Aries vs Jacobs), or a rematch from this weekend (Black vs Nigel).

There's a couple of possible matches they could have here, there is of course the 4-way that SP just said and then have Delirious Vs Jay Briscoe or someone which could full up the show or you could have something like Nigel Vs Austin Aries and have Tyler Black team with Jay Briscoe to take on Jacobs and Delirious which could be alright imo. Those matches would be able to save the show because it doesn't look to good at the moment. You could also throw Stevens and Roderick in there somewhere and then the show would actually look quite good.

And as you guys said, it will be interesting to see what they do with the Chicago show.
