One day in like 25 years AEW will actually close down and some Deezy Bischoff somewhere is gonna be like "I've been right all along" bc they predicted it everyday of their life since 2019

I always tell those people that when TNA closes its doors, we can finally worry about whether or not AEW is going to make it.

As for the network carrying AEW programming or not, I’m less worried that the new ownership will cancel AEW because of any kind of personal metrics but maybe because of some kind of legal issue with the WWE but maybe they will keep it structured in such a way that it’ll be legitimately a separate company I don’t know. The current contract is locked in, regardless.

me too, it just kind of makes sense in my brain they would go there and I think Amazon would actually do well with it. their live sports streaming is quite decent

I’m going to honestly miss them being on TNTBS though if they do eventually leave us for that tradition of wrestling on the network but fewer and fewer people wanna watch live on traditional cable and HBO Max still doesn’t quite have the punch that Netflix or Amazon do.

Not to mention, prime has free content on there as well, and I think having the latest episodes of the show pop up in the free section for the first couple weeks and then eventually be moved to the pay tier for the archive would be a really great way to get people to purchase prime subscriptions and people who can’t afford it to still be able to keep up with it.
