That was pretty much my point is they’d be asked for input not that they’d get the guy a job
Couldn't agree more

Idk why ppl think punk has any pull either, hes a part timer

He can’t even get out of going to Saudi
The blood covered money is only bad when it's not in his own bank account

Biggest poser ever , I'd have given him a wedgy in high school

Wonder if Punk will get him a job in WWE
I hope so. He's a got an original gimmick and is over with fans. He makes a shit ton of money from merch alone and I hope he goes but if not he'll do just fine on the indies .

According to the article the time added takes him "well into 2026."

He was indeed injured a long time. Unfortunate to keep him but there the contract I guess. Doesn't sound like he's actually requested a release either unless I missed something.

He supposedly requested not to have the injury time added,. Flat out asking for release not yet but didn't want the deal extended.

It's AEWs right to do it, whether it is a logical thing to do or not. As long as he's getting paid by AEW it's fine.

I'd personally just let him go, I like him, but I wouldn't know how to book him, and doesn't seem as if Tony does either.

But unless he wants to go to like TNA or WWE, he could probably work just about any show he wants, while still getting paid by AEW. So its probably not to bad.

His last ROH/AEW match was in February of 2024, so it isn't like he's been used or anything. TK wants to pay him to sit at home when he could very easily have just chosen to not do so is not a decision I would make but it's not my money.

As far as I know it isn't like he's openly campaigning for a WWE spot like Penta/Fenix (or to a lesser extent Starks). As far as we all know he's been a good soldier for AEW/ROH. I can understand in all people listed being stubborn about extending their deal.

Yeah I'd let him go. Sucks they can't find even a minor thing bc his cameos like at Final Battle last year were always fun. I don't think they want him backstage so why pay him. If he's fine with it, cool but I can't see any reason he should be on the payroll
