The main matchup I struggled with was Bloc Party vs. Plain White Ts. I really fucked with the Bloc Party song and had never heard it before. Went with Hey There Delilah because, although there was a time when I woulda considered it played out, it's been on the periphery long enough now that it's enjoyable to listen to again. :lol

I ended up not voting for as much nostalgia as I expected tbh. I enjoy the things I listened to as a pre-teen which was this era, but a lot of it isn't stuff I kept on my playlists as I got older. The Seether vs MCR matchup was a good example, probs my hardest choice bc that Seether album was one of the first I ever bought and I didn't really care about MCR until years later
Seether is a group I honestly only ever cared for like 1 song of theirs. :lol I've heard a few, didnt hate them, but didn't really like either

My 8th grade Mt. Rushmore of bands woulda been Seether, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace and Disturbed. I have nothing against these bands now, but current day me certainly isn't rushing to listen to any of the above anymore.

I just didn’t realize the disdain people here have for MCR. I’ll definitely keep that in minds

I have no such disdain, I love My Chemical Romance. Not quite Fall Out Boy tier for me but certainly the next tier down.

I didn't expect near as many Radiohead votes as I got ngl lol thought I was actually gonna make the top 3 but 1991 will probably for sure kill my winning streak

Nah we didn't even have a station that really consistently played those bands at the time as far as I can recall. The college station of course peppered in some stuff but at this point I had already established this taste from PS2 games and MTV, and I was downloading MP3s and using some shit called Grooveshark to stream music when my internet wasn't dogshit. :lol

Ah I could reach a Shreveport station that played current and classic rock. 98.9 or some shit I think. I used to listen to that shit with earbuds plugged into my alarm clock
