I think he just didn't get over. Not everyone is cut out to be the big hero.

I will say good for Max getting his stuff over, went from having fans sick of him to actually getting cheered again.

wasn’t given the chance, came out won a few matches and then was put into matches that he shouldn’t have been in in the first place. Hard to be a new hero without getting a proper build up
