Honestly I don't know what it is but it feels like ever since 2000 WWE has never let babyfaces get one over long-term over heels. There's moments here and there but it's an extremely heel-heavy show.

The thing with Cody is, I think he has the room to get to being a fantastic heel in WWE. My only thing is I don’t wanna do it not because it wouldn’t work or be great but it’s very hard to have an organic baby face like him in the WWE especially but it’s just not worth ruining that.

My mindset for my first pick was simple

I don't want to be the top company as Deadlock. Too stressful, I want those 2000s ROH vibes where we are the BEST company for the younger generation. Fletcher in my eyes is probably one of the three best active heels in wrestling (Ricochet and ZSJ are the other two) and he's young enough that I can build 20-30 years of product around him.

Rhea's also the case that she's 28 but with how massive she is you'd think she's mid 30s with her popularity. If she keeps in the business, she's got another 20 years, so she's gonna be my focal point of the women's division.

I can hold off on the vets for a little, but Deadlock is all about the new generation.
