Blaze you know that Mercedes Hogan has say when she loses and as much as Toni is head and shoulders above the rest she's losing and if your right than I'll be happy but man it's her booking it's been worse than Hogan's prime run

I think you can make comparisons to Hogan as a backstage politician without it having to do with his feelings as a personal piece of shit, but that being said it is an over blown and over used insult and very rarely is it based on very much fact.

With that being said, I actually haven’t invoked the name of Hogan in a really long time because watching live myself for 30+ years for me a far more recent and equally as compelling lol insert name here wins meme is actually John Cena who honestly after being on top for 20+ some odd years probably actually has a larger win record at this point.

As far as the actual topic in this thread, though Mercedes is one of the most over women to step foot in AEW having already had a reputation for being a main eventer, why would you bring her in and have her lose all the time? On top of that she has been in AEW for over a year now and this is her first time actually going after the world title she’s been relegated without judgment because we need a midcard in all things but she has been in the midcard this entire time so this weird backlash to her is honestly kind of crazy.

I’ll be honest I wanted Jamie Hayter and Toni in the women’s match but looking at this card it is honestly clearly the Toni and Mercedes match is the bigger match so it’s fine and it’s gonna be a hell of the show.

And quite frankly I agree with everyone that says Toni is most likely going over here especially considering Mercedes is still the TBS champion and they’re not promoting this match as a winner takes all match like they are with the other title unification match.

Also. So I don't seem like a hypocrite for saying people shouldn't always be in the title picture. When Toni DOES lose, and maybe a rematch(not really needed) she needs to stay out of the title picture for at least half a year, maybe longer. Give other people a chance.

I just want it to be clear, I am a huge fan of Mercedes, I just want Toni to win. I was fine if Jamie beat her, because Jamie getting revenge for how she loss made sense. But Toni beating Mercedes, when no one else has pinned her, that would be a nice feather in her cap.

Same. I’m also a huge fan of Mercedes, but I just preferred Jamie getting that full circle moment with Toni at all in since Toni was the one that got to win the title off of Jamie when she got hurt. It would’ve been a nice storyline bow on top, but that being said Mercedes is awesome and her and Toni are going to kill it and it’s honestly the bigger match as far as on paper card perspective and yeah with Mercedes now getting the match I do think Toni should win before I would’ve had Jamie winning.

Oh yeah she has to stay featured, maybe when she loses it, someone cost her the title? Then she can have a feud with them that's one of the top fueds. Like she definitely has to stay on TV, doing something.

Toni is going to revolve in and out of the title picture for the next several years. She’s what we used to refer to as the stone cold other people will get six months and feuds that don’t involve him but eventually he dominates the division again because he is the most over and the higher draw.

Mercedes winning in and of itself wouldn’t be a problem. Toni has already established herself as a stop star and losing it at all in to Mercedes of all people will not hurt her in any way shape or form and Mercedes can continue her rise to the top and finally main event with the proper world title, but I just don’t see Tony Khan ending all in with two double champions, especially when one is promoted as such and the other is not. I think Toni goes over.
