The reason that the WWE wrote Ted DiBiase out of storylines is because he has signed on to do a WWE Films project. Do not expect to see DiBiase anytime soon as he will be starring in WWE Films' second straight-to-DVD movie, The Marine II. John Cena will not be a part of the project, outside of a possible cameo appearance.

1. Says they have big things planned for him.

BUT...

2. The timing is fucking rediculous! He only debuted 6 months ago.. How about making a bit of a go of this, y'know, wrestling stuff for a while first?

Wrong!

When he gets all big in about another 6 months or so he will be at the hiehgt of his popularity. That is when the movie will be released capitilising on his popularity. He will have no time to shoot the movie when hes Mr WWE

what?

That's horrible, he isn't even an established superstar inside the ring and they're screening him for The Marine II?

So much for Evolution 2. Remember, in WWE, quality storylines take a backseat to the quick buck.

*waits for the inevitable "ALL U DO IS TRASH WWE" crowd to show up* :shifty:

Well, that pretty much screws Priceless. Without Dibiase, they are pretty much just "Less". Cody has decent enough ring ability, but lacks the promo skills. And Manu, well, I still haven't quite warmed up to him yet.

I say, for the time being, bring in DH Smith, who has done absolutely NOTHING since heading over to Smackdown. Then maybe, when Dibiase returns, have him go against Age of Orton (Orton, Rhodes, Manu, Smith).....maybe have Dibiase pick up Deuce along the way (who's also done almost nothing since coming to Raw).

On the down side, he may end up coming out Cena-style woth camo outfits now. But on the good side, it seems like they have big plans for him then, if they are already putting him in a movie.

How the hell do you figure he's gonna reach said point of 'popularity' in "another 6 months" if he's off making crap films already?

So, what, do you think he'll be out for a couple of months, return at the Rumble, win it and go on to win a world title at WM or something similar? : pffffffffffff :

He will have no time to shoot the movie when hes Mr WWE

'Of course not'.... The Cena films were all made within his first 6 months on SD yeah?

You have done NOTHING to convince me of this.

Calm down! I think you ripping my thread to shread because I voiced my opinion was a bit OTT!

All I was saying is that in about 6 months time, ABOUT six months time Ted Dibiase will probs be on top form and well on his way to making it to the top!

Can you remember when Cena got "stabbed"? he used that time to shoot The Marine and that was in the first year or so of his debut. The main difference between DiBiase an cena though is that Dibiase has been given a proper gimmick that could take him places, Cena wasn't when he came to WWE. If Cena had have been, he probs would have shot the movie earlier!

Jeez!

I'm calm, thanks.

It's called debating.... You took a certain amount of glee from stating that my post was "wrong" and I replied with a similar amount of 'enthusiasm'. I certainly didn't "rip" anything just because of your voicing an opinion.

All I was saying is that in about 6 months time, ABOUT six months time Ted Dibiase will probs be on top form and well on his way to making it to the top!

Well, all I'm saying is that by him having time off already there is a distinct risk that he'll lose the momentum he's gained so far...

I (and other posts I've read) have a certain amount of concern about WWE dragging their heels with their solidifying the Orton/Priceless alliance (if indeed there is to be one at all).

Can you remember when Cena got "stabbed"? he used that time to shoot The Marine and that was in the first year or so of his debut.

Cena debuted in 2002 and that 'stabbing was around October 04 (by which time he'd already been a 2 time US champ). That's 2 years or more into his SD career and (according to wiki) the film wasn't even released 'til October 13, 2006.

The main difference between DiBiase an cena though is that Dibiase has been given a proper gimmick that could take him places, Cena wasn't when he came to WWE.

Maybe I missed something but didn't him being The Doctor Of Thuganomics take him as far as a world title win @ WM21?

If Cena had have been, he probs would have shot the movie earlier!

Seeing as your facts are all out of shape, I find it extremely hard to buy into the above logic.

"Jeez" to my good friends only please.... But feel free to call me Jesus. ;o]

Um... wtf? He just "signed on"? Does that mean they were accepting fat white males to play the role?

Well I class you quoting sentences of mine and responding to them ripping it to shreds, not debating!

If you reember rightly though cenas first gimmick had him in those god awful trunks, not exactly a world class gimmick!

You have obviously taken my first post the wrong way with me saying "Wrong" it could either be taken in a serious way of me wanting to take glee in putting your post down or it could have been taken as me putting my point across. As for your response, I don't believe it was in the same context.

I don't really think he has made that much of an impact as of yet. Sure they have done the angle with Punk but nothing to solidify him. This Orton storyline will solidify his status and him haing time off to heel fits in with that. why not shoot a movie at the same time so he knows thsat when he becosme popular he won't have to take time off, risking losing momentum to shoot a movie?
