Elite Wrestling Society. At the beginning of 2001 World Wrestling Entertainment began the year with a few releases. One of those releases came to a shock to many in the Sports-Entertainment community. Charlie Cosgrove, 37 was told he was no longer needed backstage in WWE even though he was one of the most respected members of the professional wrestling world. He was not on good-terms with Vince McMahon which didn't quite help the situation and when he received word he walked into McMahon's office, sat down and expressed and criticized all of McMahon's wrongdoings he thought were bad for the company. He then stood up and walked out. Many people; not just in WWE, admired what Cosgrove did because not many people had the guts to do such a thing and it was the first real time someone had really told Vince how they felt. Cosgrove was also right about what he said. Cosgrove was sick of seeing McMahon tell the fans what they want and wanted to revitalize the wrestling world. He wanted to change things, he wanted to give the fans what they want. Cosgrove wanted to take on the WWE and show McMahon that he's wrong.

The Birth of EWS
Cosgrove was at home, just thinking. Thinking that maybe he could challenge WWE. He had the money, he had the contacts. 2001 was the beginning of something. Something big. Throughout the next few years big things would happen that gave this company a meaning. Everything worked, it was almost as if it was meant to happen. Vince McMahon's long, long run at the top was in danger and could at some point, come to an end. Cosgrove had always secretly dreamed of doing something like this. Giving McMahon what he deserves. By 2004 Cosgrove had organized many things with the help of some high-ranked names in the sports-entertainment world. McMahon had a slight awareness of what was going on but didn't take much notice of what was a gradually growing promotion. Within the next few years big steps for the company occurred and by 2006 it was officially registered as EWS - Elite Wrestling Society. No one announced anything, no one said anything but things were happening. Big names were becoming unhappy with WWE and TNA and seriously considered EWS. Cosgrove had the contacts and was already in talks with television companies for the future.

By 2007 Cosgrove had secured a television deal for 2008 and many superstars already signed to the roster; some big names also. The biggest names were Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, AJ Styles, Chris Jericho and John Morrison. Towards the end of 2007, EWS had secured a roster for it's television deal and it was a damn good roster. Cosgrove had the respect of many in the business and literally poached some superstars from their companies and managed to get them to sign contracts. Cosgrove secured other on-air talent also, Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman to name a few. Eric Bischoff was named the General Manager and it is uncertain as to what Heyman will undertake. McMahon refused to acknowledge EWS, even when asked about it in interviews, he would simply reply, 'Next question.' and that would be the end of it. He was visibly uncomfortable and frustrated with EWS. It seemed like everything was going it's way, like stated earlier, like it was meant to be. Maybe Vince's time was up, maybe WWE's time was up. EWS secured television deal was opposing ECW and that was it's first goal, to beat ECW in the ratings. Although WWE's roster were somewhat deflated they still kept their three shows.

They were forced to push younger talents, which in someways was a positive for WWE; something they hadn't done in a while. Towards the end of 2007, EWS advertised a debut 'real' house show. This would crown the first EWS Champions and get it prepared for it's television debut on TV at 9PM on a Tuesday. EWS launched a website that showed the roster, pay-per-views and championships before the big night. EWS will debut on television January 1, 2008.

Weeks Leading up to Revolution
During the World Heavyweight Championship Match at EWS' Live Event, Randy Orton lastly eliminated Chris Jericho and AJ Styles. Jericho and AJ Styles proceeded to fight on the outside and both blamed the other for their elimination; potentially costing them the World Heavyweight Championship. On EWS' debut show, Eric Bischoff vowed to come to a conclusion as to who is the worthy #1 Contender. The two faced off on microphones in the last segment of the night and it soon came to blows as it became personal. Jericho and Styles knew exactly what buttons to push on the other and Bischoff was forced to break it up with the aid of security and referees. He announced that the next week it would be Styles taking on Jericho in a #1 Contender Match. Both men confidently smiled at the other as the show went off the air. The next week in the Main Event World Champion Randy Orton took a seat at ringside to watch the Main Event. The match went for more than fifteen minutes and ended in a double disqualification after both men were enraged and both were in possession of steel chairs and both swung at each other. Bischoff came down to the ring and entered, as did the Champion. Bischoff exclaimed that it was pathetic how they were acting and didn't know what to do. Both men were standing at this point. They both stood looking at Bischoff with Orton by his side. Both men gave their visions as to why they were the better man and in the end Bischoff announced a Triple Threat Match much to the disgust of Orton. Jericho laughed and attacked AJ until Orton broke it up and pretended to be on AJ's side until moments later AJ was face-down on the canvas after an RKO. Jericho saluted Orton for his actions but then he too was on the receiving end of an RKO. The next week people didn't know who the good guy was in this three way fight for the title. No one knew who to trust and all three men would perform actions that would make no one sure leading up to Revolution. The final EWS show before Revolution Jericho and Styles were forced to team up and take on two opponents of Orton's choosing; whom were The Major Brothers. Styles and Jericho were victorious and at the end of the match both stood in the ring accompanied by Orton who watched the match. All three men stared at each other and looked to leave when Jericho requested them to wait. Then out of nowhere he nailed a double Codebreaker on Styles and the World Heavyweight Champion Orton as EWS went off the air.

Matt Hardy and Elijah Burke began feuding over Hardy's Continental Championship after Burke defeated his other two opponents that competed in his losing effort at the Live Event to claim the Title. He declared himself a worthy contender and backstage Hardy claimed that he respected Burke's ability and rewarded him the title shot. He extended his hand for a handshake and Burke looked down at it and looked to accept but only teased it and whipped Hardy into backstage equipment and gave him some facial injuries. The next week; also the last before Revolution. Hardy returned with bruising on his face and a bandage on his forehead. He claimed that he was going to punish Burke for his unsportsmanlike acts and that at Revolution he would put him in a wheelchair. Burke came to the top of the stage and laughed at Hardy, saying if anyone was closer to being in a wheelchair it would was Hardy. He said EWS and the world should get used to it because the new EWS Continental Champion is going to be like that!

Ken-Co's Mr. Kennedy and Ken Doane had been disgusted with the result of their tag team title shot due to the fact they weren't in the ring when the wining pinfall was counted and have let Cryme Tyme, the champions, know about it. JTG defeated Ken Doane via disqualification on EWS' debut show after Mr. Kennedy interfered on Doane's behalf. The next week it was Shad versus Kennedy. Ken-Co cut corners yet again and attacked Shad backstage before the match and the match was canceled. Eric Bischoff announced that the next week it would be a No-DQ match between Shad and Kennedy. Shad as you would expect, defeated Kennedy quite easily and Bischoff then announced that Cryme Tyme would be defending the titles at Revolution. In a way Ken-Co were happy but seeing what Cryme Tyme are capable, they were scared at the same time.

John Morrison had been interviewed before EWS' debut show and claimed that he thought he was not as good as Shawn Michaels but better than arguably the greatest of all-time. Michaels didn't comment on the situation until that night when Morrison approached him in the locker room. Morrison claimed that they were almost identical but Morrison had the edge, Michaels didn't react in any untoward way, he just said, 'Good for you, kid.' 'Kid?' Morrison replied. 'I'm not a kid!', 'Well your voice makes you sound like it, run along.' Michaels fired back with. Morrison was infuriated with Michaels' remarks. '...' Morrison didn't even get to begin his sentence when Michaels butted in with, 'Look, John. I don't care, alright? You have a right to your own opinion and that's that. My opinion is you have an ego as big as the whiteness of your fake teeth and no accomplishments in the business to back it up. Run along.' 'You're telling me to run along?! At least I can run along! Get out your frame gramps!' Morrison replied. 'Look let's just end this now befor..' The Major Brothers then came from behind and attacked Michaels and Morrison joined in. 'You're nothing! You're overrated!' Morrison and the Majors then left leaving Michaels unconscious. The next week Michaels looked for Bischoff and demanded a match against Morrison but he couldn't get it because Morrison 'wasn't here tonight' so Michaels was put in a match with the next best things, The Major Brothers. Michaels lived up to his 'against the odds' style until Morrison ran in the ring and attacked him. The match ended in DQ and the three men continued the beat-down. The next week The Major Brothers were found in a dark area backstage unconscious by Morrison and that scared Morrison. He then heard a voice, 'I'm going to be mature about this John, I'm going to wait till our match to sort out our problems. That's right, our match. We have one. I've spoken to Eric.' Morrison fled. What Michaels didn't know during the last show before Revolution was Morrison had bribed Bischoff into making it a three-on-one handicap match. Will Michaels overcome the odds like he has many times in his career?

Kane and Jeff Hardy teamed up on EWS' debut show and all went well. Kane had defeated Ted DiBiase at the Live Event comfortably but made sure he put an exclamation mark at the end of it. He chokeslammed DiBiase again on the outside of the ring and to put it simply, went crazy. Hardy teamed up with Kane on EWS' debut show and took on DiBiase along with Cody Rhodes and defeated them. Although at the end of the match Hardy celebrated in the ring with Kane who suddenly nailed a massive chokeslam on the 'Rainbow Haired Warrior' and did his usual pyro taunt. Fans were confused as to what or why it happened. The next week Hardy came out and demanded an exclamation, he didn't get one. Instead the lights went out and fire came up through the turnbuckles. The fire stopped and the lights came back on with Kane in the ring, he simply nailed a deadly uppercut and performed another chokeslam on Hardy. Bischoff came out the next week and announced that the two were confusing him, especially Kane and he wanted them to sort their differences in an actual match. Thus, a hardcore match was announced for Revolution; Kane versus Jeff Hardy.

Matt Morgan made a big impact on his debut in EWS. In the first two weeks he beat his opponents in under a minute. The next week he was confronted by MVP who made some comments about him that he didn't appreciate. Morgan unleashed his rage towards MVP, whom was being himself, cocky. MVP fled and stated that Morgan would pay for his actions. He was put against Test the next week and defeated him in a back-and-forth match even though MVP interfered numerous times. Bischoff announced MVP vs Matt Morgan for Revolution also.

Glad to see you back dude. You've taken your time on this, and I know you have some motivation. Hopefully, this is the BTB that makes you big here in the section, instead of being the guy who is going to be big, if ya get what I mean.

Good luck man :y:

To me, potential is a fancy word for 'you haven't done anything yet'. I've always 'had potential' but never broken away. I'm not going to dedicate my life to this, but it'll be worth it every time an episode is made. I'm hoping that this is the one that makes me big here too.

Revolution Results

Matt Morgan vs MVP
In the opening match; Matt Morgan took on Montel Vontavious Porter. Morgan as you would expect, dominated the match at the beginning. MVP though, using his signature dirty tactics landed a low-blow on Morgan when the referee's back was turned. The whole momentum of the match changed then and MVP began to take control especially after connecting with a running big boot to the face of Morgan after that low-blow. For the next few minutes MVP kept control until he got too cocky for his own good and turned his back on Morgan. Morgan nailed a deadly big boot on MVP when he turned around and MVP seemed unconscious. Morgan began taunting the crowd as MVP gradually got back up to his feet. MVP was sitting when Morgan approached him but MVP kicked Morgan away and he fell back into the referee, knocking him out. Morgan recovered easily though and evilly smiled when he realized the referee was out. He approached MVP and looked to punish him instead though, Test comes from nowhere and slides in the ring and attacks Morgan from behind and finishes off the attack with a low-blow from behind. Morgan is bent forward nursing his groin when MVP takes full advantage and nails a Play Maker for the three count.

Backstage Segment
Shawn Michaels is seen backstage is interviewed by Joey Styles. Joey Styles asks Michaels what his intentions are and Michaels replies with how he is going to show Morrison that even though he is a coward with two men in his corner compared to his zero. Michaels is going to punish Morrison. When asked if the odds were a problem Michaels replied he didn't care.

EWS World Tag Team Championship
Cryme Tyme(c) vs Ken-Co

This match was back-and-forth all night. No side really got the upper-hand for the majority of the match and Cryme Tyme had gone over a plan where they were prepared for any foul-play from Ken-Co and that frustrated Ken-Co greatly. Whenever Ken-Co had a chair in their possession Cryme Tyme would exit the ring until the chair was disposed of. Cryme Tyme used that plan many times and it worked like a charm until at one point when they weren't looking and neither was the referee Doane slided in a chair and managed to nail Shad with a steel chair. JTG luckily, broke the pin up though, much to the frustration of Ken-Co. Towards the end of the match the referee was unconscious and Shad was slowly getting back to his feet groggily. Doane was standing behind him measuring him with the chair when suddenly JTG flies out of nowhere with a missile dropkick from the top rope, driving the steel chair into Doane's face and knocking him out. Shad sees what's happened and covers Doane once JTG knocks Kennedy off the apron. The referee recovered and counted the pinfall. Cryme Tyme retained the titles.

3-On-1 Handicap
Shawn Michaels vs John Morrison & The Major Brothers

Shawn Michaels lived up to his 'against the odds' trend. For the majority of the match he was always facing a fresh opponent but never got pinned for the three-count. The crowd were always behind Michaels as they always have been. Morrison eventually got Brett Major to distract the referee and he did what you would expect of him, to gang up on Michaels. Morrison and Brian Major viciously attacked Michaels and threw him into the turnbuckle and continued the attack until he was unable to get up. Brian, the 'legal man' then tagged in Morrison who sneaked back to the apron. Morrison then stood Michaels up and easily nailed a corkscrew neckbreaker for the win.

Hardcore Match
Jeff Hardy vs Kane

This match was brutal. That could have been the reason it was made because these two stars are capable of putting on something like what we experienced. Both men were bleeding in the end and it all ended when Hardy nailed a Swanton Bomb to a face-down Kane on a table which had thumbtacks underneath it. Kane went face-first into the thumbtacks and suddenly the lights went out and fire went off, the lights came back on and he was gone. Hardy was in shock as to what Kane had gone through and as to what happened. The match was awarded to Hardy. But where's Kane?

Backstage Segment
Chris Jericho is attempted to be interviewed to shed light on whether he is on AJ or Orton's side, he refuses to be interviewed.

EWS Continental Championship
Matt Hardy vs Elijah Burke

Hardy and Burke went back-and-forth throughout this fantastic match. Burke almost claimed the title many times and same with Hardy. The match came to an end when Hardy nailed a third Twist of Fate on Burke but Burke withstood a previous two Twist of Fates and Hardy did the same with Elijah Experiences. This match was outstanding.

EWS World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton(c) vs AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho

This match was a classic. Orton was the main target in the match by both Jericho and AJ but no one really knew who's side Jericho was on. He wanted the title but he and AJ expressed their differences. All three men nearly had the win at some stage with plenty of high-spots and amazing passages of the match Orton once again came out on top but it was what happened after the bell that counted. Orton got the roll-up on Jericho after he nailed a Codebreaker on AJ. Jericho was furious and immediately went to attack Orton but he fled from the ring. That left AJ in the ring who in a way, was the distraction Orton used to get the win. AJ was stumbling up; using the ropes and turnbuckles as leverage. Jericho awaited and killed time by retrieving a steel chair from the outside. AJ turned right around into a massive chair shot that busts him open. Jericho doesn't stop there though. He stomps away at a defenseless AJ in the ring before placing the chair on AJ's head and stomping that! Jericho then turns him over and locks him in the Walls of Jericho until he feels that AJ gets the message. AJ is left a bloody, unconscious mess in the ring as Jericho looks on from the top of the stage.

Revolution Concludes..

Three Months On...
In the next few months some big feuds built up. AJ Styles and Chris Jericho had engaged in a massive feud. It had all started at Revolution when Jericho blamed Styles for his loss and severely punished him, leaving him a bloody mess. AJ Styles cut a promo the next night on EWS and vowed revenge. Jericho came out at the top of the ramp and asked who AJ was kidding. Jericho claimed that he had accomplished so much more in one night that Styles had in his career. Styles claimed the past is the past. Styles was intent on getting revenge on Jericho but a cocky Jericho played all his cards right in adding fuel to the fire of AJ. Jericho once again brought up his accomplishments and claimed that Styles should go home; quit basically. Tell his wife and kids that he is a failure, just like his parents and go live back in the trailer he grew up in. Jericho then claimed that if he didn't understand that he is a wast of space now, then maybe he should have been educated. Styles was infuriated. Jericho stood up at the top of the stage in his suit just smiling while Styles stood there, breathing heavily keeping his rage in. In the coming weeks brawls were broken up by security and attacks from behind were regular. Bischoff made the decision to announce for No Apologies an AJ Styles/Chris Jericho match. At No Apologies, Shawn Michaels was facing Jeff Hardy in a #1 Contender Match where the winner would face Randy Orton later in the night. Orton would have been angry with how the match panned out because the winner was way fresher than you'd expect. The reason being, there was an interference. This interference though, sent shivers up people's spines. About three minutes into the match Hardy got the upper-hand when suddenly the lights went out, flames went off at the turnbuckles and the stage. The lights went red and there was a big figure at the top of the ramp. He was standing with his back to the ring and people couldn't see his face as the lights gradually came back to normal. Suddenly, he turns his head extremely fast; IT'S KANE! But this is a different Kane! Kane has his mask back on! After falling face-first into the table and thumbtacks all thanks to Jeff Hardy! He's walking down to the ring, Jeff is horrified and turns around into Sweet Chin Music from Michaels who quickly gets the pinfall. Kane enters the ring, Michaels flees and the lights go out. They come back on and Hardy and Kane are gone.

Unbreakable and Beyond...
It was exposed on the EWS show after Interactive Encounter that Randy Orton had rigged the votes for his match. The staggering dominance of AJ Styles in the votes with 98% did appear quite outstanding and too good to be true. Eric Bischoff punished Orton. He said because he was too scared to face Shawn Michaels in a match he was going to have him defend the title with Shawn Michaels in the match. There was something else though, Michaels was not competing for the title, but officiating the match! Who was Orton's opponent? We would find out later in the night. Finally, it was Main Event time and Orton was waiting in the ring visibly nervous. Michaels was next and he entered the ring with a smile on his face; that enraged Orton. Then.. it was time for Orton's opponent to come. It was.. GOLDBERG! Goldberg appeared at the top of the ramp with his pyro shooting off. Orton was in shock, he then received a Superkick out of nowhere from Michaels as Goldberg came down to the ring. Goldberg then picked up an unconscious Orton and nailed him with a Jackhammer Suplex and made the cover for the three count! New World Heavyweight Champion! Goldberg is the new World Heavyweight Champion!

That was one of the biggest shocks in EWS' history! Throughout the coming weeks Unbreakable gradually built up it's card. The results are..

EWS World Heavyweight Championship
Goldberg(c) def. Randy Orton
::Shawn Michaels interfered on behalf of Orton::

EWS Continental Championship

The Lead Up to Respect is Earned
Massive matches were getting announced as weeks went on to approach the massive Pay-Per-View. The biggest announcement, in fact; the biggest announcement in EWS history was the first-ever Elimination Chamber. At Respect is Earned Goldberg will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho and AJ Styles. This is the most brutal structure ever made in professional wrestling. In other matches, Kane will be taking on Matt Morgan in a sure to be massive match. Kane has not been himself since making his return with his old mask. Morgan challenged him to a match backstage and it ended up with Kane attacking him and punishing him for no particular reason. Kane seems psychologically unstable. EWS Continental Champion Elijah Burke will be defending the title against Matt Hardy in a 'Last Chance Match'. It will be a TLC Match where if Hardy loses, he doesn't get another shot at the title while Burke holds it. Ken-Co will take on Cryme Tyme in a tornado elimination match for the titles as well as MVP accompanied by Test taking on Brett Major with his brother.

Great build up. You've distinguished some feuds here, and there seems to be some conspiracy theory (always a theme in your BTB's I've noticed). Anyway, I'll leave some predictions for yee first written out show:

EWS World Heavyweight Championship
Elimination Chamber
Goldberg(c) vs Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton vs AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho vs Jeff Hardy

The Elimination Chamber seems pretty cool. I guess I'll go with Michaels, although I'm not exactly sure why. A bit of an inkling I suppose.

Kane vs Matt Morgan

I'd much rather someone with a future win. Go the Morgan, you seem to be building him up.

EWS Continental Championship
'Last Chance' TLC Match
Elijah Burke(c) vs Matt Hardy

Burke is awesome. Youngster ftw.

EWS Tag Team Championships
Tornado Elimination Match
Ken-Co vs Cryme Tyme

Just because I like Doane.

MVP & Test vs The Major Brothers

The Major Brothers were extremely gay as generic faces, and MVP is awesome.

Looks good man, I'll have to check it out.
