EDIT - I didn't see iMPACT! last week so I didn't know he was on.

MICK FOLEY CROSSED THE LINE

I might try to watch. Try being the key word.

I lost interest in Foley really. Who cares about him? Just another washed out dude added to the roster. again.

I care, Foley is my favourite wrestler from childhood and obvisously a lot of people still remember him and care. Don't make an assumption on your own opinion. I don't like Orton but I don't assume others dont etc.

I would care so much more if Foley's debut had any logic to it what so ever. Does Foley represent the youth in TNA? Does Foley have a past with Angle which should explain why he would want to come in and target him? No to both. If TNA had gone about a logical way for his debut, it would have been great. Instead, it soured what I felt was a good promo.

I think they will bring him in to the support the youth though and put the youth over, maybe they will put him in a tag team, use him to learn the youth some things. The point is that Foley in general has a different attitude, he left WWE when he knew it was his time. Apart from a few appearences where he always puts OVER a new star, whereas Sting, Angle etc. have mostly gone over themselves. I think that will be the key difference.

I thought they would have Abyss keep doing open challenges for people for him to face and Foley would accept it, and turn Abyss back into the Hardcore Monster.

I dunno to me Abyss becoming hardcore again isn't a majorly big thing, esp for somebody like Mick Foley to involve in putting over. I mean yeah good match, but I think Foley should first of all put somebody else over within a main event type feud.

Look what Mick Foley did with Randy Orton, Edge, and many other young guys. He actually PUT THEM OVER, something Sting and Kurt Angle should try sometime. So if Mick wanted to put over the young guys in WWE, imagine what he could do in TNA?

Don't you think we'll find out what the logic is behind Mick Foley showing up randomly this Thursday on iMPACT!? They did a great job with his debut, it got people thinking about what he was doing there, and to get the rating up for next week they hype up iMPACT! as the show where we will finally find out why Mick Foley CROSSED the LINE and whether or not he is on Angle's side or Jeff Jarrett's side.

I would have a lot more confidence in Foley if it was 10 years ago and he didn't strictly rely on his usual bag of tricks to make a match exciting now.

Like there is pretty much no way that he is not going to suck it up in a regular match, it will have to be all gimmick ish, but then again it is TNA so all gimmick ish will not be an issue.

^ It usually does, and she was probably just using Orton as an example

Stop nitpicking. It's not the specifics. My point was that certain people like certain wrestlers and others dont. Foley was a massive hit in the 90s and he's still majorly respected by the industry and fans alike. It doesn't matter that he's over the hill and seen a lot better days, people will pay just to see him cut a promo or show up. I sure as hell would. But I know Foley, I know that he likes to put talent over, when he left WWE for the first time his whole goal was to put HHH over, and he did it again with Orton and Edge. Foley has come to TNA to give back something.

Do not get me wrong. I believe that Foley will do what so many others more or less only said that they would do, I just do not expect it to be pretty, and I do not know if it will mean as much anymore. You are right though on the promo front. Those ought to be interesting.
