Copt Kardinal's album yesterday and I gotta say, I'm dissapointed. Some of the songs sounded alike, only songs I liked are the ones that had that reggae feel to them. Some of the collabos came off weak, Rihanna, T-Pain and The Dream just didn't do it for me. 6.5/10

Damn Nino you repped out Kardinal hard, I had a bad feeling this album was gonna tank badly so I dl'd the album. The only song I loved from his album was that Set It Off with The Clipse even though it's old as hell. But I think Not 4 Sale was badly promoted for example: Kardinal didn't even make any live appearances on any big time channels in the U.S at all.

Yo Nino did you think the album's release seemed a little rushed?

He appeared on 106 like a month ago and was on Leno the other night. He could've booked a performance on Canada's MTV but didn't. My friend, who bought the album with me, said it felt like he was trying to sound too mainstream for the US listeners. Which is kinda true especially with all the features.

I don't think it was rushed at all, it was suppose to come out in August. Came out at the right time, right after Jeezy's and two weeks before TI.

My Thoughts on the Recession

Lyrically, Jeezy has gotten better. He's shown it in earlier remixes, Jeezy's has the same wordplay but the substance has made me want to listen more. The Recession was better then I thought it was going to be, Jeezy talked about what's actually going on in the world but was still able to keep it Jeezy (aka still talkin bout the "white"). Collabos were small, Nas, Trey Songz and Lil Boosie to name a few. Jeezy's album was probably right behind Nas' for album of the year, this album wasn't filled with the rap regulars. He talked about politics (What They Wany, My President), he talked to the haters (Wordplay) and the recession the US is in (Circulate, Crazy World). And ofcourse Jeezy swag (Welcome Back, Who Dat). This is a must buy and a classic for Jeezy.

Only problem I have with this album is that some of the songs tend to sound alike about half way through.

9.2/10

Soulja Boy - Another Freestyle 500k Part 6

[yt]2dT49DqUI1I[/yt]

Soulja Boy improve in his lyrics.
Co-sign, Soulja Boy HAS improved his lyrics especially on that Marco Polo joint. I thought his best line sadly of his career so far is this:
"My flow is broadband, where y'all still at?

^Love him or hate him you have to admit that line was hard.

Yo Nino or Montana can either of you guys post your thoughts/review on Nelly's Brass Knuckles?

I agree about Jeezy's album sounding similar. I'll stick with the 9.25 rating for it.

DJ Khaled's album is pretty hot. All bangers just about, mostly miami rappers, Go Hard, Out here Grinding, Fuck the other side, are my favorite tracks. Ill give it a 8.5/10.

Nelly's album actually isn't too bad. Who fucks with me, and hold up are my favorite tracks. Mostly commercial tracks, but all in all, about on par with his last album. 8/10

LL COol J, i havent listened to this one too much, but ill give it a 7/10 to for now.

TI Papertrail....little dissapointing. I had HIGH expectations for Game and TI, and neither delivered to what i was expecting. I do like Top of the world, LIve ya life, SLU, My life your entertainment. Those tracks are hot, however it just seems there is a few ehh tracks on here as well. 8.5.10

The New Soulja boy track is Birdwalk, and its pretty hot actually.

Not really a TI fan but I'ma check out Paper Trail later this week, gonna pass on LL's album. Same with Nelly. I can't believe you guys are admitting to liking Soulja Boy.

i love dancin to soulja boy rofl

LOL That's something a bitch would say and I mean a female bitch like with tits and a vagina. Soulja Boy is a guilty pleasure artist, you don't mention him on who you listen to to public. I have a guilty pleasure artist too.
